We had a sewage backup in our basement and thankfully had coverage for it. Servpro came out and did the mitigation. Ripped up our vinyl floors, cut drywall, ran fans, etc. Insurance adjuster provided estimate which includes a certain amount for the repair work and a separate amount for "pack out", to move our stuff in the basement out and back in so the work can be done.

We are likely going to have the repairs done by the same contractor who originally worked on our basement a couple years ago. It doesn't sound like he works with insurance claims like this so often. I'm wondering what kind of documentation Insurance typically expects for this "pack out" portion. If he rents a uhaul pod and has his guys move our stuff in their and provides a receipt for that is that enough?

Thanks
