Why are there hardly any tree lines streets in Edinburgh?
as title suggests been around the world a fair bit and always think Edinburgh is very built up with few trees in the streets.
is there anything we can do about this?

I’m new to Fusion 360 Generative Design and I’m trying to work out why my study keeps failing. I followed a YouTube tutorial, but I’m obviously missing something.
The part is a lightweight wall-mounted frame. It hangs from two upper hanger holes/nail points, holds a very light painting on small lower/side holders, and will also hold a few tube lights.
So far I have set up:
It still keeps failing during generation.
Is there something obvious I’m missing in the setup? For example, do the loads need to be applied only to preserved bodies? Can obstacle geometry touching/intersecting preserved geometry cause the study to fail? Should I simplify the preserve/obstacle bodies or use unrestricted manufacturing before trying additive?
Any advice on how to debug a basic lightweight wall-hung frame would be really appreciated.
Hi, I’m working on a small experimental printing press mechanism and could use some engineering advice.
I’m trying to design a better cog/gear/roller system that can print onto a sheet of paper while also folding or creasing it as it passes through the press. The idea is to have some kind of rolling print surface that keeps continuous, or near-continuous, contact with the paper so the printed image comes out more evenly.
At the same time, I want the mechanism to emboss the image slightly into the paper, using ink and pressure, and also create a controlled fold/crease as the sheet moves through.
I’ve attached a few photos of my current tests, but I’m really looking for advice from people who understand mechanisms better than I do.
The main goals are:
At the moment I’m not sure whether this is best approached as a gear profile problem, a cam/roller problem, or a synchronized roller + creasing wheel setup.
Are there existing machines or mechanisms that do something similar? Any terms I should be searching for? Or any obvious reason why one approach would be better than the others?
Any advice would be really appreciated.
