Choosing between JBL 308P MkII / ADAM T7V / KRK RP7 G5 / Kali LP-6 2nd Wave — multi-use home studio

Trying to pick studio monitors for a home setup and could use outside opinions.

Room: ~16–20m², partial acoustic treatment + bass trapping in progress (not finished yet).

Listening position: ~1.0–1.4m from the monitors, could spread them out to ~1.5m+ if it helps.

Setup: Monitors would sit above three 24" displays on my desk. Wall clearance behind them is somewhat limited — maybe 20–35cm, possibly less. Looking at taller stands or wall mounts..

What I actually do: Vocal recording, mixing/mastering, content production for a YouTube channel, plus casual music listening . Final mix/master decisions will mostly happen on headphones , so monitors are more for translation checks, vocal tracking, and general work than the final analytical pass. I have external audio interface.

Options I'm between (per pair):

  • JBL 308P MkII — 364€ (8", rear-ported)
  • ADAM T7V — 394€ (7")
  • KRK Rokit RP7 G5 — 418€ (7", front-ported, DSP room correction)
  • Kali LP-6 2nd Wave — 398€ (6.5", front-ported, very neutral/flat)

Leaning toward something front-ported given the wall clearance, but curious if anyone's actually used these in a similarly tight, multi-use setup. Appreciate any real-world input.
