Hi everyone. My A/C yesterday in pretty high heat was not working, blowing warm air. I bought a recharge kit last night.

This morning, the gauge went straight to the red zone (high pressure). The car was blowing cooler air (tbf it was cooler out this morning). I took a look at the compressor and it wasn’t engaging. The belt was moving but not the disc wasn’t moving at all. I don’t hear any weird noses or anything.

Based off of some research I am thinking the pressure switch could be failing? I’m going on a road trip next week and really don’t want to fully replace the compressor in this car. Any thoughts, advice, or other checks I could do by myself? Thanks guys!
