Any negative experiences?

I've been on Agomelatonin for 6 weeks now and haven't seen any improvement. Weirdly my overthinking has increased and I feel more down.... And it doesn't make me feel like doing anything since starting it, which makes it worse because I was actively going to the gym before starting.

Did anyone else have a negative experience that you ended up coming off it? How many weeks did you give it until you stopped?

So I have this work friend (she is 35 and I am 37), who I became fairly close to over a year. We would meet up for lunch and go shopping outside of work on occasion, and sometimes car pool to work together. Over the year I've known her, she has said some weird things to me, which I let go off at first, but over time, it felt more and more off to me.

Some of the things she's said to me over the year -
"You live in a shoebox" - For context, I bought my own small apartment over 7 years ago, which I'm very proud of.

"You have shit taste in music" - She's mentioned my 'bad' taste in music many times, which is very odd to say, because I don't particularly like her music, but I don't feel the need to say it.

"Why don't you know how to eat with your hands or why don't you learn? You're really aussie, You're a bogan" - I have Sri Lankan background but was born and raised in Australia. She's made this comment quite a few times.

She has made comments about my boyfriend/s looking 'really white' and that I have weird taste in men. - She's white and only dates black men and has openly expressed this to me, that she would never date a white man.

She has something to say about my preferences or who I am as a person and I've never had any friend or co-worker ever feel the need to openly express this to me and it feels off to me because I get weird vibes, but I can't put my finger on it sometimes because it's so subtle and makes me wonder if I'm over reacting.

She points out minor errors I make at work and makes a point of mentioning it to me, even thought she doesn't do it to anyone else.

But then at the same time, she has also been caring and will go out of her way to buy me something she thinks I may like, etc.

Am I over-reacting?

I would like to hear from those who have been on Valdoxan for at least 3+ months.

  1. How long have you been on Valdoxan for and what dosage are you on?
  2. How many weeks in, did you notice an improvement in your mood/anxiety etc?
  3. Did you experience any side effects such as fatigue etc. - How long did this last for?
  4. How do you feel on it currently and how has it helped you overall?
  5. Any advice you would give to those starting on it?
