Hello, currently I'm working on English Translation for my comics.

I hired three different translator, Since I'm not native speaker and my English is kinda bad.

​

I need your advice, which one of these translation is the best? (Not cringe, natural and understandable)

This time, I will tell my story.

Perhaps to you, this is just another mainstream tale—about revenge, sudden power awakening in desperate moments, or a lonely person who eventually finds companionship. But to me, this is my story.

I lived in a large house left behind by my parents with my younger sister, Nao. My parents left when I was 7 years old. They went away and never came back. I still remember what they said: “We will return to you.” But those were just empty words. In reality, they vanished like water evaporating into nothingness, gone without a trace.

Killing and killing—that was my daily routine. Without Nao knowing, I became a hired assassin. To survive in this cruel world, I took the lives of others. From ordinary people to high-ranking officials, I have killed many. I relied solely on my swordsmanship, because it was the only skill I had.

I was given the nickname Shinigami because of how many people I erased. My name became famous throughout the underworld, like a celebrity. But my work brought disaster upon myself.

My sister, Nao, was killed. The mafia boss who hired me to eliminate a rival gang murdered her. I was framed and accused of killing my own sister. The law enforcers, who were supposed to stand for justice, did the opposite—they threw me into prison without giving me a chance to defend myself. Perhaps they had been bribed to do dirty work. And I realized… maybe I didn’t deserve to be defended anyway.

For 5 years, I rotted in that filthy place filled with rapists, thieves, terrorists, and murderers. Every day, I thought of my sister—the smell of blood still lingering on my hands, the helpless face she had when she died. I remembered it all. I wanted revenge against that mafia boss, but I was powerless. These iron bars always stood in my way.

Day by day passed, and my mental state kept deteriorating. Then someone approached me. He comforted me and taught me how to enhance my brain’s abilities, allowing me to move objects without touching them. For the first time, I felt happiness—I had found a friend, and a new power to fulfill my revenge.

Eventually, I was released, and we had to part ways. My revenge began the moment I stepped out. The mafia boss’s headquarters was painted with blood and scattered organs. I slaughtered everyone inside with brutality.

At that moment, I felt immense satisfaction seeing his terrified face—like someone who had seen a ghost… or perhaps more like someone facing the angel of death. I cut off his head, as I was sick of looking at his disgusting, sagging face.

The jacket I wore became more “artistic,” decorated with streaks of red blood. I thought my purpose in life had been fulfilled. I chose to die so I could meet my sister again. Even though it was impossible—I had committed too many sins. I doubted God would accept me.

Just as the blade of my katana was about to touch my vein, a cry for help echoed in my ears, followed by an explosion. I rushed outside the building and was shocked to see the destruction spreading across the city. Alien creatures—ones I had only seen on TV—were now invading Earth. I was powerless against them. I could only take down about a quarter of them.

As my body stiffened from exhaustion and I could no longer stand, an old man appeared and saved me. He effortlessly eliminated all the aliens, and I lost consciousness.

I woke up days later and found myself in the Himalayas. The old man told me to retrieve a sacred weapon at the mountain’s peak. If I succeeded, I would earn the chance to learn elemental control. Feeling indebted—and somewhat intrigued—I agreed.

Yeti, or snow creatures, attacked me one after another. At the same time, a mysterious child appeared, adding to my burden as I fought while protecting them. In the end, I didn’t find any sacred weapon. I returned to the old man, bringing only the mysterious child I had found along the way.

The old man smiled and said, “Congratulations, you have succeeded.”

The child emitted a blinding light and transformed into a beautiful gray sword.

I spent 3 years mastering elemental control. Carrying the sacred sword, which I named Els, I returned to my old home—a decaying house in an empty settlement. For a moment, I reminisced about my time with my sister. Then I fell asleep on my dusty bed.

In my dream, I met my parents. I saw visions of them—my father as a leader of some region, and my mother busy managing her own world. I woke up with a new goal: to find them.

To fill the time while searching, I joined the Hero Association—to become a hero. Perhaps for redemption… and maybe, just maybe, to make myself “white” again.

His parents disappeared when he was young. Since childhood, he survived by stealing and scamming to support his younger sister.

One day, he discovered a “new world” deep within the internet, where he learned there was an easier way to earn money. Long story short, he became an assassin.

Over time, he grew infamous in the underworld for successfully eliminating many high-profile targets. Because of this, he earned the nickname “Shinigami.”

One night after completing a job, he returned home and found his younger sister lying lifeless in a pool of blood. A large slash wound was clearly visible on her chest.

He broke down in tears, his knees giving out as he collapsed, holding his sister’s blood-soaked body. He cried, realizing that the last remaining member of his family was gone.

Suddenly, the sound of sirens approached. The police stormed in and arrested him, accusing him of murdering his sister.

At that moment, he realized—he had been set up by someone.

Background:

Jerry Hilton is the first son of Henry Hilton, also known as Stellarian, and Amy Hilton, an ordinary human. Since birth, Jerry has shown signs of having some of his father’s superpowers, although on a smaller scale.

Raised with love by both of his parents, Jerry learned to appreciate his powers and use them for good. Even though he lives as the son of a famous superhero, Jerry attends a public school, Sunshine High School, to live a normal life like other teenagers.

At the age of 17, Jerry’s powers begin to develop rapidly, and he starts training under the strict supervision of his father. Although Jerry attends a public school, he also receives additional training at home from his father to control his powers and prepare himself to become a true hero.

Jerry feels great pressure as the heir of Stellarian, but remains determined to become a better hero, bringing hope and truth to the world.

Jerry is a smart, enthusiastic, and dedicated teenager. Despite living under the shadow of his famous father, Jerry remains humble and has a strong sense of responsibility. He is very close to both of his parents and always tries to make them proud.

Jerry aspires to one day lead the United Superheroes of America and protect the world from greater threats, but he also wants to finish his education and experience a normal teenage life before fully entering the world of heroes.
