Contribution pay, Northwest Houston

Well it happened. They changed their hourly contribution pay from 30$ to 10$ an hour this week.

To me, this is a violation of contract.

I can't update my schedule without taking a hit on my schedule commitment.

There was no notice ahead of time. So it's time to not schedule blocks anymore.

Getting sent out of market to lower income areas, or simply bad areas to deliver in...

Don't you hate going to your preferred delivery area, logging in, then being sent across town to a bad area within the first or second offer?

These bad areas either have high amount of orders, low tips (the micky d junkies) or they have really bad, potholed roads and really bad traffic. Not to mention the roads are a total of 2-4 lanes, counting both directions.

Just my biggest struggle of being a scheduled hourly worker. I dont mind certain areas. But I work NW houston and when I'm sent to i10 or spring branch out of my market, and I tend to cringe. On top of that I have to practically fight my way back up by dealing with it and burning a break to go back North, or get lucky with an order pulling me back into my contracted market.

Note: I get little if any downtime. So I really don't have much time to travel north outside of orders. By the time I'm close to delivering something another order comes in.

My little rant. The struggle is REAL.

I was completely mistaken about delivering for grubhub.

I started doing deliveries for GH early June. This past weekend, on Sunday, I finally made premier.

And I work my first scheduled block last night.

I accept every offer, I deliver on time. I try my best to follow rules and do my best.

My market is in Northwest Houston, where I live.

I haven't even taken a break once until yesterday.

So I look at my email and find this sitting there today. I call support and they can't tell me why this happened.

I even provided my location data from yesterday (7/21)

I just feel like they introduce the metrics then when people make them for hourly minimums, disable schedule to screw them over. I have very little idle time. Only time I do is when its legitimately slow. I'm pretty disheartened about this. And I was really excited. But now I get it. Now I understand why being selective about offers is worth more than feeding the beast. This completely is against any career training and history I've had in my past about customer service. I'm not a 20 year old looking to make a little extra money. This is complete... yeah.

Any insight?

☆EDIT☆

I immediatly called support and sent a ticket in to dispute this. I received an email stating my account is under review.

The reason why I am providing this update is because I know I did not do anything malicious and would like my post to be an example/guide if this happens to anyone else.

I will update again once I *should* get cleared. Either way, I still feel betrayed.
