Improv show featuring Plant Based Papi on 10/10!

Hello fellow vegans!

I am in an improv show called The Dinner Party at Kickstand Comedy, where we bring in iconic foodies or chefs from around Portland to give a monologue about their adventures in the Portland food scene.

This month I am SO excited to have Jewan Manuel (aka Plant Based Papi) as our featured guest for a vegan-themed show on Saturday, October 10 at 8:30pm.

Tickets are online here if you’re interested! https://www.crowdwork.com/e/the-dinner-party?date=2026-10-10T20:30:00

PS: to be clear, no actual food will be served but you’ll leave with a belly full of laughs 🤭

I passed my PMP after failing last time! AT/T/AT

Wow y'all - this has been a damn journey. I failed my PMP in May and felt really defeated and disappointed in myself. There's also a work bonus $$ riding on me passing, so the idea of that not happening was adding a lot of pressure. I'm so beyond excited to say that I passed today! I can't even believe it happened, I'm like pinching myself.

Here's my journey:

I started with AR's 30 hours in January. Took my time and finished that in like March, then started to hammer study hall questions, along with watching MR and DM's videos on YouTube.

In retrospect, when I failed, it really highlighted the areas I was avoiding because I was less comfortable with them. I knew I had People down, but was avoiding a lot of Process and Business Environment which I didn't realize until I failed and saw my results and how much they reflected that.

I kept reading posts about how much easier the exam was than SH and was overall scoring within what folks recommended as ready for the exam, so I felt like things would just work themselves out. I failed with People: T, Process: BT, Business Environment: BT.

I paused studying for a retake bc I took a trip right after my first exam, but came back to it like 2-3 weeks ago and have been focusing on the domains I felt the least comfortable and scored the lowest in. Hammering lots of SH questions and watching DM's videos (love that king, I was like reading questions in his voice during the exam lol).

I also feel like I focused so hard on trying to "hack the test" the first time around, I was focusing less on understanding the content and more on like "how to correctly answer questions". If you're studying, I recommend going for a better balance than me. This time when studying I barely even touched mindset and instead reviewed the hell out of my incorrect SH questions, then retook my mini exams with that new info to reinforce what I was learning.

This time I felt a lot more calm going into the test and really took my time with the questions, highlighting what the issue was and any other keywords that would be helpful to my answers.

My exam had no math questions, probably like 6 multiple-answer select questions, zero drag and drops. It did overall feel smoother than my first exam. I flagged a handful of questions per portion and revisited before submitting. I finished with ~15 minutes left. I did it online and used the sneaky link people have posted in here to find my score before it's officially released.

I appreciate all the resources and posts in here, they were super helpful! I'm really proud to be posting my own "I passed!" post - I was starting to think I wouldn't get to. :):)

Thanks for reading!

How do we find non-cis couples?

Hey there,

My partner (trans masc) and I just downloaded Feeld (separate profiles that are linked) and are looking for other couples w trans partners to match with, but the couples filters are kinda gender rigid and only give options for “man and man couple” “woman and man couple” etc. If we include all genders we’re getting hella individuals and no couples and when we just use the couple filters everybody is cis. Surely there’s more queer couples we’re not seeing?

Has anyone figured out a hack for this?

Thanks!

Failed PMP - BT on Business and Process

Hey there,

I took my PMP exam on 05/12 and unfortunately failed. I worked so hard studying for this and there is a bonus from my work on the line which I really need, so there’s a lot of pressure.

Honestly I had a hard time after I failed and also had a big trip coming up so I haven’t looked at the material since, but plan to start studying again this week and take it again the end of June.

I’m nervous about failing again, then my 3rd retake would need to be the new exam that comes out in July, so really wanna try to get it on attempt 2.

Any tips from people who had to retake?

Specific resources for the above? I’ve consistently done well with People and got T for that one, but have been inconsistent with the other 2 categories I got BT on.

My study before was a ton of practice questions on study hall, 2 full mocks, mindset videos from MR, PMBOK video from DM, and some of the ultra hard questions video from AR.

At a low point 4 days before the test

Hey there,

I’ve been studying for this test since Jan ‘26. I did AR’s 35 hours which took me a while to complete because I’m a busy bee. I’ve been doing study hall for probably like 2 months - all practice questions and all mini mocks, plus 2 full mocks.

My practice questions are 70% average and my mock quizzes are 69% average. I got 71% on one full mock (80% without expert questions) and 66% on my other full mock (74% without expert questions).

With only a few days before my test I have lost my motivation and honestly wish I did my test like 2 weeks ago. I did the 71% mock like 2 weeks ago and the 66% mock a couple days ago when I was extremely tired after a long, dramatic day at work. I’ve been watching hella videos and redoing practice questions/mini mocks.

I’m feeling down about the 66% and am finding it really hard to lock in when studying this week. I keep trying to trust that when test day comes, I won’t be coming off of a work day (taking it at 8am), I’ll be freshly caffeinated, and I’ll have a natural fire at my feet due to the anxiety of the test which honestly is key for me to do a lot of things lol.

Idk why I’m posting here, I guess I’m just not sure how to spend these last few days and want to get out of this funk I’m in bc I really want to stay optimistic for the test itself.

Any words of wisdom or encouragement are really appreciated - I really wanna pass on the first try! I’m also getting sucked into the posts in here about failing the test and while I accept that reality is totally possible, I think it’s messing with my confidence, so I should prob stick away from those this weekend haha.

Hey all,

Just did my first full mock and got a 71%. I did pretty decent in a lot of areas but am weaker in these areas which could risk my exam passing. Any videos or resources that explain these more?

  1. Evaluate & Deliver project benefits and value

  2. Address and remove impediments

  3. Support organizational change

Thanks!
