Not sure if anyone has done this degree pairing before, but I’ll ask anyway. I am a concurrent education student doing an integrated studies BA (english teachable J/I) and BEd. Has anyone done this and can you do anything else with this degree or did I just confine myself to teaching positions only? I’m only asking bc I’m scared there won’t be enough jobs for me to apply to when I graduate in 5 years..

I am in concurrent education for j/i and I was wondering if it would be beneficial to take a minor in child and youth studies if I want to teach elementary primarily. Or should I minor in my teachable subject? I would love your thoughts and opinions for those who have experience with this!
