Ever since SO was introduced, our beloved New Valet has been under attack.

"He cannot beat bosses on fearless at C0R1"

"He is only getting wheelchaired"

He can clear fearless bosses without heavy investment.

And I could put a C0R1/C1R1 Neuvi with Furina, Ineffa and e.g. Escoffier and clear the fearless Sandrone shill boss whereas a certain other DPS will be turned into a brick and still be called the best hydro. No words.

Versatility goes long ways.

Yea, as if dire was not meant for newly shilled units or highly invested older comps.

Dawei can keep those weapon skins. It is not worth it. Unless Starrailshin doubles the amount of primos, I do not care about dire. I care about cool kits that make me want to spend primos because it will pay off in the long run (e.g. Neuvi and Flins)

It is no wonder why Hoyo has released a Temu-Neuvillette because they know their game is so popular, they can get away with it.

But I am getting too old for this.

I will just chill and enjoy playing New Valet.

Maybe even get stellar-slop supports that can work with him.

All the forced hate proves that Neuvi is a legend.

I am sick and tired of them just putting him in an event where his presence has little meaning.

After all, he is a sovereign hydro dragon who has a lot of memories of the past and there is no doubt that he is trying to surpress his sorrow for his comrades and the loss of an immensely advanced civilization.

Taking care of Melusines is all good BUT that is not all there is to him, right?

I want to see that RAW anger. I want to see to him lose his composure and behave a bit like Apep at times (btw, her anger is more or less justified). See, Teyvat got taken over by a fraudulent ruler who has deployed his shades and henchmen (archons) after copying everything the dragons had researched for so long but Neuvillette is supposed to remain calm and collected all the time?

What kind of kingergarten writing is that?

I am fine with having soap opera every now and then but treating a hydro sovereign like that is outrageous.

There is more to Neuvillette.

This dragon is still good enough and he was an absolute blast upon his debut. I cannot say the same about newer DPS.

The fact he can work with almost anyone, all while being able to sustain himself and have good damage is what makes me want to skip restrictive DPS who are the definition of "we play in this way or this character is a brick".

Hoyo knows that he is in fact so popular and powerful that they have started making restrictive team buffs and pushed restrictive team-building just to not easily buff Neuvillette's personal damage furthermore (and yet there are workarounds such using Durin (hex support set) + Sucrose (VV) alongside Neuvi and Furina).

Let us have a look at Durin:

Durin's white form can shred pyro res and the element that was involved in the reaction. Upon triggering overloaded, burning or pyro swirl this will happen -

except vaporize!

Ok we can switch to dark mode Durin and make him contribute to the team's DPS because even Neuvi himself can apply enough hydro but still it is weird that his white mode does not shred hydro upon triggering vaporize.

Hoyo will make the meta even more abyssmal but it won't change the fact that Neuvillette is one of the most wholesome DPS in the game and I want to see more characters with great kits again but unfortunately another blunder won't happen. I am tired of essential bricks.

Neuvillette and the dragon lore are also the only reason I am still playing GI (I do not give two sh*ts about the current meta tbh).

Too bad that the writers do not seem to know what to do with Neuvi despite him being one of the most popular characters.

If I could toggle off his cons & weapon rank down to C1R1, I would still walk through the current abyss with ease. Gimme 60-70 seconds per chamber and it will be done. Either side btw.

The shilling got worse and Hoyo is doing that on purpose but don't fall for it. It is nothing but a scratch for him. Cannot fool us "old timers" but it will certainly be a pain for newbies who will get overwhelmed by all the shilling.

First halves of each chamber want you to use pyro. That is no problem. There is pyro MC, Durin, Mavuika or even Xiangling. Then slot in Furina and Kazuha. Even better if Furina is C2 for max buffs in an instant due to Neuvi's quick self-healing.

Second halves?

Lauma, Nahida or even dendro MC for dendro application. Then slot in e.g. Kazuha and Furina and grab your primos.

As for stygian onslaught, he can beat bosses on fearless at C0R1. Adjust his ER so that he has his ults available quickly. It is a nothingburger as he does not really suffer from that "handicap".

Don't play Hoyo's game of fear and clear.
