How will the Ruptuer class be improved?

It’s been announced that the Ruptuer class will be getting improvements, but I honestly have no idea what direction they could take it in. Right now, if you take away the defense-ignore advantage, they’re basically just attackers with lower base stats. Even the counter mechanic doesn’t really feel unique to Ruptuers, since that could easily be built into regular attacker kits as well. I genuinely can’t imagine how they’re going to redesign the class.

Additional note: Since it may have caused some misunderstanding, to be more precise, what they actually said in the developer talk was: “considering new combat options and team compositions.” It’s still somewhat vague, but if they went out of their way to specifically mention it, I doubt it simply refers to adding another support character or buffing older units.

Can we still farm w engine chips?

So i've read from a post 2 months ago that we can buy the event engine in the potential shop and dissemble it to get the chips; in repetition.

I've gilded blossom lv60 on my orphie so i'd rather confirm it here before doing something i regret.

This whole thing might be a good help for me to get burnice w engine.

Can we all agree that Harumasa is a great character that suffered a lot but still chose to help others?

Sike! Suprise ysg glaze but seriously why does everyone hate ysg for choosing a life she wants to take. Is it because harumasa is one of the few male characters so he’s deep and well written? Is it because YSG is just yet another disposable waifu for the proxy to fuck so her choices dont matter?

“Why didn’t she just listen to her brother and give up the sword?” Ye shinyuan is a hypocrite because he literally said himself that “the sword should’ve chosen me instead” meaning if she didn’t have the sword he would have it and sacrifice his life. Oh and if she didn’t use the sword the creator doesn’t get defeated. Oh and it should be mentioned that the sword doesn’t fucking kill her anymore and she was able to overcome something the other sword bears cannot.

I understand not liking the way the story is presented or thinking the sword plot is loose and contrived but YSG does not deserve to be called pro suicide, the game does tackle dark subjects but they will always end on a hopeful note. Harumasa and YSGs story is about using your negative upbringings to learn and help others. This is one of the many false arguments to hate on Ye Shunguang.

Every problem I had with Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night

I didn't think it was possible but I think Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night is my least favorite chapter in this game so far. Where can I even begin to dissect this absolute clusterfuck? I will note that the two positives out of this whole chapter were >!Zhao and Seed!<, but everything else left me confused, infuriated, and just done with Season Two.

- The weird tension between the Proxy and Magus. It is nice for someone to be hesitant about trusting the Proxy but the whole >!"You're still a criminal because of your proxy antics"!< is such a lazy excuse. It has been made pretty clear that everyone has been accepting of Belle and Wise being proxies because they are Phaethon. Even the Defense Force, the people you directly work under, has used the help of the Proxy in the past. I also didn't like it when Magus came to our defense when Lorenz was in "douchebag mode" as it felt sudden.

- Speaking of Belle, where in the hell did she suddenly develop an ego from? Throughout the quest, she was acting like the greatest thing since sliced bread because of her reputation. What, did the complete glazing that her and brother received since 1.7 go to her head? This was completely out of character.

- The Exaltists continue the downward trend of being ridiculously evil. Even >!Sarah!<, who was once this mysterious figure, starting spouting out the same >!"The Creator will commit the Final Sacrifice" and "None of you mere mortals can understand"!< bullshit that these idiots have been saying since 1.5. The sooner I get to the point where these idiots are written out of the story, the better.

- Once again, the writers did the "we need to explain the backstory of these characters in an inorganic and forced way" as we learn that Isolde and Magus were a part of the >!Agamemnon Squad that got wiped out defending trains of Porcumulex supplies they were told were civilians!<. It wasn't like most stories where information is given in small doses. They decided a whole dialogue cutscene giving you this exposition.

- Much of the Obol Squad really didn't contribute anything. Seed and Trigger made some quips here and there but they really didn't do anything important. Soldier 11 was completely fucking wasted. As she is one of my mains, I was quite excited to see what she would do. It turns out it was jack and shit. Most of her appearances often had her stand here doing nothing and she had no dialogue whatsoever. Did the writers decide "Eh, she already had significant roles in Season 1. Just have her there in the background for the fanservice."

- For no real reason, Orphie decided to explain her whole tragic backstory during the middle of the chapter to the Proxy. It felt similar to when Alice just went >!"So, my dad died."!< in the last chapter. That was quite stupid but at least it made sense later (although it felt like plot-convenience) The reveal that Orphie was a >!clone to assist Magus, who is a talking gun by the way!<. This really added nothing to the overall narrative in my eyes. It is like the writers knew they wouldn't have another opportunity to elaborate on her background.

- Stop if you heard this before. The Proxy is in danger because of something in the Hollow, and our Shifu comes swooping in to save our ass. To be fair, we were deliberately trapped on account of >!Lorenz threw his weight around and forced us to stay until the operation was complete.!< I don't know why Wise couldn't just handle things on the outside but that is besides the point. >!Yixuan comes in and retrieves us. We return back to Subian Temple where we inform everyone about what's going on. Obol Squad managed to track us down and instead of escorting us back and promising to keep us safe until everything was over. They joined forces with Subian Temple and disobeyed orders. I guess Soldier 11, who is known for strictly following orders, was a-okay with this.!<

- Lorenz was, and pardon my language here, an absolute fucking c**t. From the first interaction with him, he was made to look like a complete and utter douche. There was no rhyme or reason for his behavior >!aside from "I have power therefore I can be a dick" and it seemed very clear that the game wanted to make you hate him.!< It's not even the "He's shady but ultimately good" but "This man is an absolute bastard." It seems every decision he made was treated as he was abusing his power and being a megalomaniac just because he could. When the reveal that he >!took the bride from Lucro and ordered the Agamemnon Squad to defend the trains, it was the biggest "No shit, Sherlock!" moment!< because you nailed into my goddamn skull this man was the antichrist. He didn't even sound remorseful, he was gladly gloating about it like some evil scientist that sent his minions to die.

- While I am at it, I am going to rant about the Defense Force because they weren't portrayed in the most positive light. For some reason, the grunts decided they wanted to push people around, acting like complete jerks towards us and the people of Waifei Peninsula. You can chalk it off as "Oh, these were Lorenz' men" but I call bullhonkey on that.

- >!The Isolde twist!<, oh boy. Prior to this moment, I was on Isolde's side. It was quite fucked up what Lorenz and Lucro did and both of their had it coming. Then, it was revealed that >!Isolde was Mavorakh.!< WHAT? Yep, Isolde, out of her burning hatred for the Defense Force and Porcumulex, >!decided to join and become an Overseer for a goddamn doomsday cult!<. How? The game explained that >!"Well, she's not fully crazy and doesn't care about the Creator's plan" but how the fuck would she be able to rise through the ranks if she wasn't fully invested in the cause?!<

Also, how in the fuck did nobody suspect this? She is a high-ranking member of the Defense Force, surely her absence would lead to people thinking something is up. Another thing, this is such a completely roundabout way to get revenge. I also don't buy the "Lorenz and Lucro wouldn't face proper justice" because if Isolde gathered up enough evidence to support her theory, then surely the Defense Force and Porcumulex would've done something. The PR nightmare that would have come from this information being shared would've caused both Lorenz and Lucro to be booted from their roles. Sure, they probably wouldn't go to trial but they are no longer in their positions and both of their reputations would've tanked.

Oh, wait. They did go to trial despite both of them being dead. The letter we received at the end that was supposed to tie up this complete mess stated that >!Isolde wanted us to stand as a witness. Therefore, she knew that Lorenz and Lucro would've been arrested. She explained that she orchestrated everything and was deeply sorry but couldn't stop herself out of pure hatred and knew she was going to end up dead too.!< Fuck this bullshit. This is easily one of the worst plot twists I have ever seen in not only a gacha game, but video games as a whole. This wasn't done because it made sense, it was done for the steer shock. If you take one second of think and try to piece together everything, you just find another problem that completely undoes your whole theory.

This is the exact same bullshit they did with >!Twiggy, Dina, and some other villains I am skimming over.!< This whole >!"I am evil because what happened to me in the past yet I didn't want to do all of this" bit!< has been beating to death but this crap with >!Isolde!< is the worst example. You didn't need >!Lorenz and Lucro dying, you didn't need Isolde revealing herself as Mavorakh!<, you damn well didn't need The Exaltists to wipe their balls all over another quest, and you didn't need the fucking letter. Just craft this story of Isolde using every resource she has to find enough evidence to reveal what happened with Agamemnon Squad and expose corruption in the DF and Porcumulex, but Lorenz and Lucro are using their own forces to stop Isolde from exposing them. Obol Squad can be stuck in the middle, initially hunting down Isolde before learning the truth themselves and helping her.

There were a million directions Hoyoverse could've taken with 2.2 and all of them would have been better than the shit they served. I knew Season Two was going to be a bumpy ride but this is the car going off the cliff. I thought Bury Your Tears With The Past was the bottom of the barrel, but Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night managed to break through the bottom and sunk to a whole new low.

My personal speculation on Roxy's theme and playstyle

Obviously, it's still too early and I'm not saying I'll be correct, this is just my personal tin foil hat moment of what the character's theme is going to be for fun.

Lots of people says that she has a zombie motif like Corin, but in my point of view what if it's not zombie, but a necromancer?

Think about it, she has skeleton motif all over her, the tombstone symbol that says rip and fences like it's a graveyard. She's also seem to work in the same faction with Claret who has vampire motif like a bat mask and in most fantasy, vampires and necromancers tend to work together.

Okay, if that's the case how will Hoyo fullfill the necromancer fantasy ingame while making sense in zzz's world? The final nail in the coffin (pun intended) for me is that based on the trailer, Roxy works in a faction called Flint Workshop. With this I deduce that Roxy has a knack of inventing stuff, possibly if necromancy is her theme, mechanical puppets?

With this, I think it would be cool if she's a support or stunner character that sends mechanical puppets/minions to help dps damage/daze.

Again this is just my personal speculation on Roxy, all of this could just be me overthinking on a character we barely know anything and be completely wrong. But part of me hope I'm correct since I love necromancers in video games and this will be Hoyo's take on it.

Some people's critics of the games map designs are weird. Instead of saying Hong Kong or London isn't urban why not just say something like that they prefer the Shanghai and Tokyo aesthetic of season 1?

Whenever a new seasons trailer comes and we get a several people claim the new maps doesn't feel urban enough, first with the Failume heights map and then the trailer of Roscaelifer. Failume and Roscaelifer are based on Hong Kong and London respectively for aesthetic and inspiration, both London and Hong Kong are classified as global megacities and are well known to the world no different from Shanghai and Tokyo that makes up much of Season 1 maps like Sixth Street and Lumina Square.

So why not just say one prefer one type of city style over the other rather then call two other large and famous cities not urban? This is a much more valid critic

If anything the outer ring is the least urban of the bunch being based on the country sides and rural small towns of American states like Texas, New Mexico and Arizona.

All anomaly and all attack 9 stars DA

This was a nice exercise. I tried also all rupture.
https://www.reddit.com/r/ZZZ_Discussion/comments/1tikahh/all_rupture_9_stars_da/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button
Due to lack of agent variaty and supports (and probably skill), that one was way harder than these two.

Teams:

Anomaly:
Promeia 00 (Weeping Gemini) Nangong 01 Yuzuha 11
Miyabi 21 Lycaon 30P6 (The Shimmering Pot) Soukaku 60 (Kaboom the Cannon)
Alice 11 Jane 10 (Weeping Gemini) Astra 10 (Kaboom the Cannon)

Attack:
Ellen 01 Dialyn 01 Zhao 01
Evelyn 01 Ju Fufu 00 (Hellfire Gears W4) Astra 10 (Kaboom the Cannon)
Seed 00 (The Brimstone) Soldier 11 10P6 (Heartstring Nocturne) Trigger 01

Double drops event not in calendar?

Is there a reason why the double drops event for the HIA and Area patrol dont show up in the events calendar? I mean do show up in the events list and the announcements and it wouldnt hurt showing them there either?

With Remielle and Sunbringer, we already know that if we get another first-generation VH, it won't have these outfits. I wonder what they'll look like

u/Optimal-Lunch-4975 — 1 day ago

I crossed 91k in shiyu for the first time, with zero effort

This post will eventually get taken down like every other criticism of endgame

By "no effort" I mean I didn't have to think of any strategy, play faster/harder rotations, or have to bring different builds for the situation (my Alice has 5 builds depending on the DA boss/buffs)

It's all just RNG in the first wave

Resetting room 1 until the first wave group themselves for two stuns

Resetting room 2 until the big robot doesn't jump out of Alice's EBA

Resetting room 3 until Dullahan gives me his extended parry to stun them together at the correct time

After I get through first wave I can genuinely close my eyes and do WHATEVER and still score high

I tried to apply some strategy to the boss (e.g. stopping attacks and waiting for manato to start his parries to avoid interrupting him), but it barely resulted in a 1k score difference, and the amount of resets on first wave needed to get to the boss in the first place made it impossible to learn the boss' attack patterns

Ramiel or Miyabi will be my first void hunter and then maybe I'll be able to enjoy shiyu finally, by deleting the first wave without RNG to get to play the boss itself

u/ElegantRadish4646 — 14 hours ago

I’m kind of tired of every void Hunter being a DPS

With Ramielle being another anomaly DPS, it’s kind of just boring. I would at least like them to cycle during the two other classes before just going straight into another DPS. To be honest, it would be nice to have another universal support that isn’t slowly losing relevancy and maybe an agent that gets defense out of the hole it’s currently in, just being a worse version of already existing classes in the game.

So, I recently started fully completing 2.0 story and... Yuxuan character is total joke? (some YSG as well)

Like, first they make her "not like others" and "she is HER and THAT strong".

Then they sidelined her. She barely teach Proxies (something she take them in Temple in first place), has absolutely NO CONTROL over Temple inner works or territory around it as a whole.

I know Hoyo alergic to make recuring characters important in fear of them shining better than current shill, but what in actual fuck is this writing. I heard story was bad, but it actually come worse and worse each Main Story quest I start.

Offtop
Also might have felt how some Firefly haters felt with how YSG is blatantly pushed. 3 dates? 1 in patch that wasn't hers and 2 others close to back to back with start of her problem going worse and "fully" resolving in next 30 mins. Holy fuck.

Sorry, I feel like this is dead horse kicking, but I needed to somewhat went all frustration I feel with this bs of an story.

The Miasmic Doppelganger: The defector is annoying

Where do i even start?!

The fact this is anti-ether and is even Miasmic!? MIASMIC!! Who the fuck came up with the idea to make this anti-ether, with hundred dashes, on top of that even miasmic?!?! As someone who plays rupture and understands that they are best counter pick for miasmic enemies, slapping the ether resistance on this is like punch on the face for Yixuan players, like literally especially with those dashes i have to either dodge and parry constantly, not giving me to breathe is insufferable, why would i have to parry and dodge all that when i can block?! Oh wait, it’s anti Yixuan counter… It does a lot of damage too like Doppelganger Jane but on steroids

So guys how do you play against it, any tips?!

M0W1 Promeia Team vs Scorched Horizon 60K

62k without P5 cradle could be done if I were good. Pushing for a kill without mindscapes is very difficult this time around. Builds are at the end of the video ~3:55

u/REP7443 — 1 day ago

Absolute zzz?

Just thought of a potentially fun thought experiment and wanted to hear what other people think? Basically, if you had to write an alt timeline for a character in the cast using the "take something previously foundational to the character away method" seem in the absolute lines of DC (I.e bruce Wayne didn't come from a wealthy background, Kal El spent years on krypton and watched it's destruction rather than just being sent to earth as a baby, Diana and wasn't raised by hypolita in themiscrya, but by circe in hell) what do you think would be the most interesting?

The first example of this that came to my mind that sparked the idea for this post was an Absolute Trigger. With the thing that is taken away being the death of her squad, but while they all managed to make it out alive, the rest of the squad was even more crippled than trigger was. The fact they lived meant the insurance payout from the military wasn't as large, so trigger, feeling a need to help her squad and their families, turns to being a hollow raider to bring in extra denny.

What you y'all think of this? Again, I'd also be interested in seeing what other ideas people might have for this method.
