This is a serious post in the theme of "what was that loud boom?"

I live a little south of BUR. It's not a flight, it's not a helicopter unless there's a hovering CH 53 not on flight radar. It's not an earthquake. It's like a 20 to 30 Hz buzz transmitted right through my house foundation to my chair.

This summary of events won't come as a surprise to any of the regulars on this sub. It's Matt Taibbi revisiting Missouri v. Biden, and what happened with Jay Bhattacharya's early research, his discovery, and how the Biden administration silenced it. It's why my kids missed a year and a half of school.

My hope is that if any curious covidians are poking around on our sub (as I do on occasion on theirs) they will understand why I'm still angry. It's why I am nowhere close to "moving on".

I worked on Mars 2020 sample handling. Planetary protection (and sample purity) made my job harder and made the mission cost more. This was part of the long history of cost overruns contributing to MSR getting shut down.

If the goal is to have humans eventually visit Mars, what is the point of going to such lengths to clean and bake out the hardware? If humans do visit Mars, is the same mindset going to attempt to contain their biologic matter (anything with DNA) inside of sealed suits and habitats? That sounds impossible and expensive.

Keep in mind that there are other entities besides NASA trying to get there and also trying to bring samples back who have none of these concerns.

OK, I know everyone says the raised 3-6 mm yellow spots on your car are bee pollen, like the bee vomits it out. Or something to do with bees and pollen.

Edit- There is no municipal election next week.

This post over there is talking about a City primary election on June 30th. It's the first I've heard about it. Nothing in the mail. Does anyone know what's going on?
