Teh lovers

For local teh (tea) lovers, where is your go-to?

Personally, it’s important that the tea is not astringent and the milk not overpowering. Based on ease of availability and consistency across outlets, Yakun is my go-to. Where do you go to for local tea? Would like to hear some recommendations!

Nicer way of saying “excuse me”

In the latest episode, learnt about this soft honk. It’s not perfect but I think the intention is right, pity it’s not developed further, and no car makers thought of making this more mainstream.

They have also mentioned about the use of bicycle bells to indicate your presence - both from the pedestrian and cyclist POV, which I thought was pretty balanced

From pedestrians POV: what do annoys you about cyclists and what would be a better way for cyclists to inform you that they are coming? Especially these days when noise cancellation earbuds are common and people are less aware of their surroundings

From cyclist POV: what annoys you as a cyclist when sharing footpath with pedestrians, especially those who choose to work on shared cyclist path in park connectors, even though the pedestrian one is empty? How do you use the bicycle bell without being annoying to other users?

We are all strangers by Anthony Chen

Has anyone else also caught this movie after listening to the episode with Anthony Chen?

The anecdotes that Anthony shared on YLB were interesting enough for my interest to be piqued about this movie. I watched ILO ILO, missed Wet Season and watched We are all strangers.

The theatre was almost full when I watched it last night, glad to see people supporting Made in Singapore film. Love how everything things like HDB, coffee shop, bus rides were captured in a different light. Not a movie with a lot of theatrical ups and downs. It’s almost as ordinary as the bus rides that were featured heavily in this film but what a beautiful ride as each actor carry the film with their own storytelling.
