Citibank is awful

I'm travelling internationally, and Citi blocked access to my account. It's impossible to regain access, even though I can provide sms code, SSN, transaction history, and any other security questions. The ONLY option that the supervisor has provided is to wait for the US mail to my home address in the US (remember, I'm travelling). I asked him - Does he understand that I'm unable to receive the mail now? He said yes, but that's the only option. If you travel internationally, don't use Citi. You'll regret this.

So IKEA just told me I can’t assemble my desk without going to Home Depot. Seriously.

I bought the classic desk setup: a LAGKAPTEN tabletop, an ALEX drawer unit, and 2 ADILS legs. Thought I was all set.

Spoiler: I wasn't.

After unboxing everything, I realized nothing actually connects the tabletop to the ALEX drawer. The legs screw into the top fine, but the drawer unit? Just sits there. No pre-drilled holes, no brackets, no screws.

So I hopped on IKEA chat support. The agent's response?

"You need to buy L-brackets and screws from your local Home Depot. IKEA doesn't sell them."

I had to read that twice.

I just bought a desk system from one of the biggest furniture retailers in the world… and I can't finish assembling it without driving to a completely different store.

I'm honestly shocked. IKEA is supposed to be the place for affordable, self-contained DIY furniture. How is it normal that their own desk combination requires third-party hardware from a competitor just to be functional?

Yes, I know a trip to Home Depot isn't the end of the world. But that's not the point. The point is: I paid for a complete desk solution. I shouldn't have to figure out what bracket size, screw length, or drill bit to buy from another store because IKEA left that part out.

Ridiculous.
