My last session with my players ended with the party hearing the horn of the approaching frost giants, so they know they’re preparing for things to turn ugly. I know the book recommends giving players one of the different npcs- Beldora, Augrek, etc.- to help them in the fight, but I’ve got more extended plans for a few of them- mainly Beldora and the sheriff- so I’d rather they don’t die.

Other tips I’ve seen suggest giving them some town militia to control, so I think I’ll go with that.
My question is, if you’ve led the Bryn Shander giant attack, what npcs did you use to help bolster your party’s side?
