NTRP 2.5 here... what would you improve about my game?

Been playing for about a month, think I'm probably somewhere between a 2.5 or 4.0. Not sure.

Seriously though, how many beginner technique problems do you see here?

Edit:

(1) this really is me in January 2021

(2) I was a 2.5 for sure

(3) folks who don't know me from here -- check my post history to see what 5 years later looks like... I still suck, but suck way less than I did

All gas no brakes

Lost 7-6 (10-4 TB) after being up 4-2 against u/pizzadontdie. Getting some work in before the wildfire smoke fully descends on the PNW.

First day back since injury/cramping during the match TB at last weekend’s USTA tourney

Coming back from a labrum overuse injury and hard cramping in both legs, taking it slow. Footwork is sloppy but it forced me to step in on some of these rallies and take the ball earlier.

GRASS 👏 COURT 👏 TENNIS

95F heat and slight wildfire smoke couldn’t stop me from accepting an invite to head 20 miles east of Portland to play on this immaculate private court. Unbelievably fun. Adjusting to the low bounce was difficult but in the best possible way. So many shanks, but I felt like I could play like a dollar-store Jabeur/Muchova at times.

Outdoor tennis vs. the silly 4.0 ogre

90F+ tennis in Portland is not my idea of a good time, but here we are

Working on better groundstroke spacing and not making terrible shot-choice decisions

But not always succeeding.
