I’ve been working on a frankenmotor build the last couple of weeks, putting a EJ251 block in an EJ22 car, and I’m trying to figure out what the compression ratio is roughly supposed to be in the configuration I have.

97’ EJ22 heads on a 01‘ EJ251 block.

I’ve looked online and I’ve found very conflicting information. So any insight would be appreciated.

That being said, I also need to know what would be the most straightforward way to mechanically detune it enough to be in a more manageable ratio, I’m aiming for like 9.5:1 max basically.
