Anyone know how to upload Instagram Reels without losing quality?

Hey everyone,

I’m hoping someone here has figured this out because it’s been driving me crazy.

I edit all my reels in CapCut and export them at 1080×1920, 30 FPS.

My Instagram is @noctiswallpapers, and since I post wallpaper/cinematic reels, keeping the quality sharp is really important.

No matter what I do, Instagram seems to compress the video and it just doesn’t look as good after uploading.

One thing I’m also wondering about is whether it makes any difference if you upload through the Instagram app or through the website.

I normally upload using the app, but because of the quality issues I tried uploading one reel through Instagram Web instead. The quality actually looked worse, and the reel got way fewer views than my usual posts. It barely reached anyone.

Was that just bad luck, or does uploading from the website actually affect quality or reach?

If anyone has a workflow that consistently gives you crisp, high-quality reels, I’d love to know your export settings or any tips that have worked for you.

Thanks!

Been applying for DS/DA roles for a couple months now and I swear it feels like I'm sending applications into a black hole. No replies, no rejections, just... silence.

My background I have a B.Sc. in IT and spent ~3 years doing web dev (React, WordPress) before pivoting to data science. I've built 5 projects, got them all on GitHub, live Streamlit apps, a Power BI dashboard, the whole thing. I thought having a portfolio would at least get me some responses but nope.

I'm in India so I already know the market here is brutal for freshers right now. Everyone and their cousin is applying for the same 10 DA roles on LinkedIn lol.

Genuinely don't know if it's my resume, the way I'm applying, or just the market being this bad. Starting to consider remote/international roles but not sure if that's even realistic for someone in my position.

How long did it take you guys to land your first DS/DA role? Did you do anything that actually moved the needle? I'll take any honest advice at this point, even if it's something I don't want to hear.
