New York Tier 6 discussion question: has anyone heard serious talk about reducing the early retirement penalty?

I’m far away from 30 years of service, so I’m not really focused on the proposed 30-year retirement changes. I already understand there will always be an early retirement reduction if I retire before full retirement age. What I’m wondering is whether there has been any discussion specifically about making the penalty less severe for Tier 6 members who choose to retire early.
