[TOMT][MOVIE][2000s-2010s] Horror thriller with small 4-5 inch autonomous doll-people attacking teenagers at night???
I'm trying to find a movie I watched around 2012, though it could have been released in the early 2000s or early 2010s. I am positive it was released by a major film studio. The movie features absolutely NO children and NO core adults; the entire cast consists strictly of teenagers who are hanging out at a house at night, though they aren't necessarily trapped inside.
The main threat consists of a specific group of about 4 to 8 very small, autonomous creatures that are about 4 to 5 inches tall. They look like little people or dolls and aren't inherently creepy or monstrous-looking; their fear factor comes entirely from the element of surprise. They are completely independent with no main villain or human controlling them, and they only make faint grumbling or squeaking noises. The visual style looked like practical puppetry, possibly using green-screen suits for smooth movement or a claymation style.
There are three highly specific scenes I remember vividly:
A police officer pulls up to an empty vehicle at night on a dark road, cliffside, or make-out spot. The cop uses a flashlight to check inside the empty car, and while looking through the window, is ambushed from out of nowhere and killed.
The small creatures attack from anywhere using the element of surprise, including a specific scene where a teenager is stabbed directly in the side of the foot right near the heel.
At one point, the little doll-people line up perfectly side-by-side horizontally (facing forward, not single-file) and slowly walk/march toward the teenagers. At the very end of the movie, one single doll steps up and stops the rest of them, causing the entire group to back down and retreat, leaving the surviving teenagers alive.
Note: It is definitely NOT Gremlins, Critters, Puppet Master, Demonic Toys, Dolls (1987), Blood Dolls, Don't Be Afraid of the Dark, The Pit, Trilogy of Terror, or Automaton Transfusion. Any help identifying this would be greatly appreciated!
Edit: I also don't think it was released in theaters or anything I think it was a straight to Blu-ray/DVD kind of film
Edit 2: just FYI they are not necessarily dolls they could be tiny human like creatures
