Hey so I got this cooler on Amazon. I got the better oil cooler rated tubing and better clamps like most people say. My questions are 1) should is use thread tape on the fittings? 2) do I need to flush the new 40k core with something like isopropyl alcohol as a precaution against any manufacturing shavings inside before installing?
I just saw a clip of ATC managing 2 flights at nearly the same altitude, heading towards each other's flight path, with identical call signs, same company, one on the arrival approach procedure, the other on the departure, they eventually merge at different altitude separations. The controller comments he's never seen this in 25yrs of doing that job. What are the odds of this occuring? I don't know how to do that kind of math.
Sorry for another oil pressure post, but I literally just finished replacing my oil pickup tube O-ring today. It fired right up to about 45psi cold. I took it for a drive and it seems to work fine and normal. As soon as I put any amount of throttle to it under load, it's right up at 40 or more. Romping on it gives about 55+. But at idle once warmed up, it idles at about 25psi. Is that normal?
I can't for the life of me remember what idle was before I had the significant pressure drop last weekend. Now I'm all hyper focused on oil pressure.
