My boys Frodo (all black) and Sam (mostly black with some white) who I’ve raised from birth

My boys were dumped outside the store I was working at alongside their 2 siblings on the day they were born. Whoever dumped them left them outside in the heat in a paper bag. I brought them home and my husband and I raised the entire litter, waking up every 2 hours to bottle feed them, making sure they were kept warm and safe. It was the most rewarding experience of my life. Two of the kittens were adopted out to friends and family and we kept these two adorable scamps. The boys are now four months old and they are the sweetest, purriest, cuddliest kittens I’ve ever seen. They can be wild and crazy too like any kittens but thankfully they have each other to be crazy with. We love these boys so very much!

Update on the four newborn kittens found in a paper bag outside of my work

Original post here: https://www.reddit.com/r/kittens/s/Nr8irSn5Kz

The kittens are FIVE weeks old! So many new adventures are happening every day. They are beginning to wean, though some better than others. Little girl Arwen was the first to eat solid food, followed by our orange boy Pippin. Speaking of Pippin, he’s finally (mostly) clean! No more crusty boy! Our tuxie Sam has tried the slurry a few times but still prefers the bottle. And our biggest boy Frodo absolutely refuses to touch the slurry, he’s still a bottle baby only. We’re working on it lol.

All meals are quick now, they eat fast and then begin their post-meal wrestlemania matches which usually last at least half an hour. They absolutely love playing in and climbing on boxes and they’re constantly doing their own stunts. My husband and I definitely have some battle wounds now as their teeth and claws have developed very quickly. In one of these new pictures you’ll see Miss Arwen showing off her very impressive fangs. Thankfully after they play, they become very cuddly and crawl up to cuddle and snooze with us. We are completely in love with all of them and watching them never gets old.

Thank you so much to the last few people who donated KMR, these babies have a ton of energy now and all of them eat a LOT. The last big donation of KMR helped us a TON, we’re hoping to have them fully weaned soon but all four still take the bottle at least supplementally. I can’t believe how quickly they’ve grown in just 5 short weeks and I cherish every moment of bottle time I still get with them. I’m dreading adopting them out when the time comes, though my sister is taking Arwen so at least one is staying in the family.

Thank you to everyone who has followed this story and offered so many kind words and donations. The babies, my husband and I are forever grateful for this community.

My favorite pictures of Alice to celebrate ten years together

Alice came into my life in 2016 after a former high school classmate of mine announced on Facebook that she needed to rehome her cat. Alice was about a year old and her former owners were divorcing, neither wanted to take her (their loss!) I snapped her right up and she’s been my girl for the last decade now, I couldn’t imagine life without her. Here’s to 10 years!

The babies are three weeks old today and they are growing so fast! Eyes have been open for about a week now and they’re becoming very curious about the world around them. Today I am going to try to transition them from the small carrier they have lived in for the past few weeks into a larger playpen. Their little legs are getting so strong and they’re definitely trying to wobble-walk around as much as they can so it’s time for more space to explore.

Here’s some new photos I took this morning, most of them sat pretty well for their 3-week photo shoot. Poor Pippin is still as messy as can be and is constantly crusty. All three boys are quite fluffy, with Frodo being the fluffiest of the bunch. Little Arwen is the least fluffy, her little legs are pretty fuzzy but the rest of her body is smooth and sleek. In addition to starting to walk around, the kittens have shown their first signs of trying to bathe themselves and of wanting to play. RIP to mine and hubby’s skin over the next couple of weeks as they learn to play and pounce more 😅

We’ve gone from feeding every 2 hours to feeding every 4 which has given my husband and I some much needed rest. The babies have eating down to a science now and mealtimes are now about 10% eating and 90% cuddling. We will start trying to introduce some wet food/KMR slurry in the coming days to get them accustomed to the idea of weaning but they are still exclusively bottle babies at the moment. If anyone is still looking to donate to their care, all we really need at this point is KMR. They are flying through it as they and their appetites grow. I am no longer permitted to post the link to their wishlist but if anyone would like it, feel free to check my previous posts or message me directly.

As always, do not feel obligated in any way, we appreciate all of you and your kindness and generosity so very much ❤️

Lastly, we’ve gotten a bunch of comments asking us if we’re going to keep any or all of the kittens. We love them with all our hearts and letting them go is going to be near impossible, but as I have responded to a few people, we already have four adult cats who are desperately waiting for our full attention to come back to them. I included a photo of the four of them on the last slide so you guys can see the kitten’s foster siblings. We still plan on putting the kittens up for adoption when they are ready and they are going to make some lucky humans very, very happy.
