I guess I won the cat lotto!

I was outside with my dog & she wouldn't leave my tire alone. I couldn't believe it! They're currently safe & sound, blocked off in my basement shower stall. Tomorrow, they'll have their first vet visit! What an adorable surprise! Thought there was only one at first seeing it walk under my car. They kept getting up into the open undercarriage but, I finally caught them with the help of my pops inlaw.

Meet our foster fail!

I rescued a feral mom and her litter of 5 gorgeous kittens- and they’re all getting ready for spay and neuter and going to their forever homes. Except this one! We’re keeping her! A friend told me about chimera cats- and I don’t know a ton, but I’m curious if anyone here thinks so? Doesn’t matter to me either way; just would be neat if she was!

Rescue kitten help

Yesterday me and my grandma rescued this little guy from an elderly couple out in the sticks. I think he's about 4 weeks old at this point and he was COVERED in fleas. I've never cared for a kitten this little and everything is making me incredibly nervous. I feed him a mix of wet food and KMR and he eats a few times a day and mostly sleeps. The couple said they hadn't seen him poop and last night he finally did. All over himself and the crate🫩.

He hasn't pooped today even though I've being trying to stimulate him. He's pretty good about eating in his own. I give him a platter of the wet food mixture and he nibbles on it throughout the day. I'm just anxious because I leave for an out of state day trip tomorrow and won't be back until early evening. My mom said to put him in the tub with the litter box and food and water but I'm worried he'll get too cold even with his blankets and stuffed animal. We have a vet appointment scheduled for Tuesday, but I want to make sure he's getting the best care he needs.

Edit: Good news!! My friend is able to come over and stay with him all day tomorrow! I've given her his food routine and how to stimulate him to use the bathroom after eating. Thank you to all the help in the comments, I needed the support to make sure I can take care of little Percy to the best of my capabilities☺️

Help! One of my kitten thinks I'm an Ogre!

I've had my three kittens for a month, including a timid little one who’s 3 months old. (The other two are bonded and a month older.) The introduction phase was rough; on day one, she got stuck in an unreachable spot, and I could supply her with food, water, and litter while I tried to coax her out but it took five days. She finally settled into me when she emerged, purring and it felt so nice to finally love and comfort her.

The other two kittens play rough, which intimidates her, so she often hides, observing instead of joining in. She would often run from me, so I’m careful to limit my interactions to nose boops with my finger, respecting her boundaries. (She does give them back.) Fortunately, she’s slowly coming out more, but any attempt to pet her still scares her, so I’m wary of pushing too hard.

I want her to know love! The older kittens are affectionate and have even started to include her in their play, but she’s still hesitant. We've made some progress: I’ve held her a few times, and she purrs, but it doesn’t last long.

I’m concerned about her well-being and want her to feel safe and loved. We play for hours, have Feliway diffusers in common areas, and feed them communally. But compared to the others, she seems distant and doesn’t trust me yet.

I have a vet appointment next Friday that I fear might set back all our progress because I will have to scoop her up to get her into the crate. Has anyone experienced this with a shy kitten? Will she eventually embrace affection? Any advice on building her trust would be appreciated! Also, if I have lost my window of trust building with her, please let me know best ways to support her. I feel so sad for her.

My 3mo kitty

I’m writing because I want to know what my three-month-old kitten will look like as an adult. According to the AI, she’ll have semi-long hair, but I’m not sure.

A week old kitten

This cat was abandoned by his mother. It’s my first time taking care of a pet ever. I did take it to the vet. He told us to feed it with a syringe every (kitten formula already bought) 2 hours and then rub its butt with wet cotton to help it pee/poop.
The thing is he barely eats a few drops. He closes his mouth once like 2 drops are in. Is this normal? How much of the syringe should he be eating every 2 hours? Also the room temperature is around 28C right now but I’m afraid that he’ll get cold. Honestly at this point any tips are appreciated. Thank you.

Also its been a few hours since we adopted him from a friend and I am extremely paranoid something will happen to him etc. I literally control if he’s breathing every 2 mins since he came and cannot leave his side. He is sleeping right now I think. How many hours a day do they sleep?

Also lastly I just saw a very small tiny bug in his fur but it literally disappeared deeper into his fur and I cannot find it. Any tips?

Update: fed him for the second time and he ate this time. I let him sit in his box and held his head upwards gently rather than holding him in my hand. Seemed to work.

Update 2: we took him to the vet again. He cleaned the fleas and gave us a flea comb. He also again said to feed him every 2 hours , make him pee after every meal and to keep him warm. We are doing all of these a d trying our absolute best to make this little kitten live <3

Just brought my new kitten home yesterday night. This is Juniper✨️

She is super sweet, affectionate, calm, and gentle for a kitten. She has been accepted by one of my other cats already and he adores her, but the other is distant and it will take time for her to like her. I know she will, though. Juniper is very patient and doesn't approach right away, and yet, has no fear of anything. The most perfect little creature, I love her so much💕
