Question re: compost for playable turf

Would it be possible to use a fine topdressing of compost (maybe spaced but regular applications) on turf for golf without serious repercussions? Is it too much of a risk for introducing pathogens and fungus? Does the compost need to be pulverized to maintain playability? Would a wide application of compost tea be possible?

TL;DR, is it possible to use compost as a regular treatment on turf used for golf, or other sports?

Confess your sins

Sometimes I hit two balls for the round if there’s no one behind me. I play them against each other, but then use whichever score was better for each hole to get my total for the round in my handicap app. One hole I hit an 11 that was voided (on account of an awkwardly placed bunker, and my generally poor skills). I went down 5 HC points today, from 29 to 24.

Also, one time I stole this guy’s ball because it was seemingly abandoned from a long past round in an out of bounds zone near the fence, but he came over to where I was a few minutes later asking if I saw a Titelist anywhere. I lied and said I didn’t, because I was too embarrassed to admit my mistake.

Confess, this is a judgment-free zone

What are the best stretches to do before and after golfing to prevent injuries, as well as things to avoid during? I definitely am going too arm heavy and need to use my hips and core more, backswing and release are probably overkilled also. Any good recovery tips for shoulders and elbows would be appreciated too. Thanks!

For context, I’m getting back into golf after more than a decade off and spent around 6 of the last 10 days hitting like 150+ balls, trying to figure out my driver in particular at the range, probably close to a couple hours at a time. Yesterday, my back shoulder and rib zone started hurting to the point i couldn’t take full swings. Inflamed my rotator cuff and pec area, nothing serious but need to just watch the blue monster this weekend and rest. Went too hard after being sedentary this semester.
