As It Was Rewatch - Beady Eye Question

Like several, I did an As It Was rewatch this weekend for the release anniversary. The first 30 mins or so is really good as it goes over the past and his time in Beady Eye. I truly think Four Letter Word is a really good song and the YouTube clips of it played live are fantastic. However, the rest of their music is meh or not good. Why didn’t anyone advise Liam to make more rock songs like four letter? Thank
God he’s back with Noel.

My hype level for the doc is now beyond insane (if this article is true)

Link: https://radaronline.com/p/rock-group-oscar-buzz-america-success-claims/

I don’t know much about radar online but these quotes about the doc and its footage have me beyond hyped. This also assuages some of the concerns I had about the doc being too fan centric. It would be amazing if this actually got some awards recognition. So many quotes in this article that I hope to be true!

ISO 2000 Reading Festival Bootleg cd

I’m trying to locate the “only here for the beer” soundboard bootleg cd from the 2000 Reading Festival. Anyone ever come across it from a reputable site?

Heat 2 update: September 2026 to March 2027 shooting Schedule

Link: https://www.worldofreel.com/blog/2026/5/22/mann

Since I posted earlier in the week about potential cast circling this project, I thought I’d pass along this latest “news.” This keeps my hopes alive that this will actually get made. Some days I have my doubts. As for the cast, I don’t think Mann should do young and old versions of a character with different actors. I’d go Leo as Chris so to honor Val; Driver as Neil, Bale as Vincent. I think Jeremy Allen White would be the perfect Cheritto. I can’t see Butler being Chris since he has so many projects lined up. Anyone have thoughts on who should play the other key roles?

Noel comments on the Doc

A few on X have posted this audio clip from Friday where Noel comments on the doc.
Says they’re still tweaking it so he hasn’t seen it yet. He does say it’s “an emotional journey..it’s lot to do with fans and stuff” and
“I’m just mixing the sound for it now at my studio”
The fans comment is a concern. Makes me think there will be a ton of fan stories between clips of songs when we really just want the brothers talking instead. The sound comment makes me think he’s just mixing the concert portions of the doc but I’m hoping that it’s linked to a live album.
Here’s hoping we get a trailer soon!

Thoughts about quotes in the Doc Press Release

Link to full press release: https://thewaltdisneycompany.com/news/oasis-film-disney/

Now that we FINALLY have a date and more info, a couple thoughts. Like many, I’m ecstatic for this.

— I’m thrilled it will be in IMAX. I hope to see it three times opening weekend. Fingers crossed we at least get a live album to coincide with its steaming debut. I doubt we’ll get a Blu-ray of the doc but Disney did release one for The Beatles’ Get Back.

— I wish the film was 100% about the brothers and the band. I assume we all use Oasis to get through the day. I don’t need to hear those stories or see people crying in the film.

— Same thoughts about the power of music. Hopefully it’s only about 5 mins of the doc and a Noel voiceover saying how generational they are.

In the end, thank god the wait for the doc is almost over!

I’m always slightly amused and annoyed that whenever something about James Bond and Steven Knight is mentioned in an article, the documentary is never mentioned as an upcoming project. He did say on a podcast that he interviewed Liam and Noel, so he’s definitely involved beyond the title of Executive Producer. We need a trailer and a release date (I know, I know, we’re all wishing for that).
