How large of a scud culture to feed 6 pea puffers

I'm going to be getting 6 pea puffers that I'll keep in a 20 long. My current food plan is to co-culture scuds and bladder snails as their exclusive food source, and keep frozen bloodworms in the freezer as backup in case the cultures fail.

I currently have two one gallon jars that I have scuds and bladder snails breeding in, but does anyone have experience doing this or suggestions on how many gallons of culture I would need to keep to feed 6 pea puffers? Googling suggests 3-5 scuds per puffer per day, but I'm not sure how that translates to culture tank size in practice for long term sustainability.

[LF] - NYC, NY - Scuds and Pest Snails

I'm looking to start cultures of scuds and bladder/ramshorn snails for fish food, so if anyone in NYC has those I'd love to grab some. I can trade java fern, floaters, or clippings of several different kinds of pothos if you're interested.

Any suggestions on how to automate this AC?

My AC is absolutely atrocious at maintaining temperature so I figured if I could turn it on and off from home assistant i could do it better with a zigbee thermometer or something. Unfortunately when it gets unplugged and plugged back in it defaults to off so I can't just use a smart switch.

I don't recognize the connector in the last pic but hooking up to that seems like an option? I'm ok doing basic esp32 stuff if needed.
