Is my vision for a passion project good or too basic?

I am a high school student (10th year) from Argentina and I want to apply to foreign countries colleges to study either genetics or aerospace engineering. There is little to no information on how to do it and no counselors available which means I’m doing everything on my own. I been looking fowards to start planning my passion project but every idea seem unrealistic for the place I live and the lack of opportunities there are. Lately, I been thinking on the struggles I face as a Latino American student and one thing I found is that there is no space in my country for students to express their passion or interest besides forums or competitions. Based on this, my idea is to create a space for young passionate students to learn more about physics and biology and for them to be able to get to know other people with simile interests. I was thinking on doing a web site where they can contact me to create a group of 15 students of ages between 12-18 and do weekly online meetings to discuss new scientific projects or theories. I also thought that to reach more audience I could make a podcast were I could share this knowledge with others to make that information accessible as most of the information can’t be found in Spanish. I haven’t really put it together as it is just an idea for now but I wanted to know if it could potentially work and give a solid insight for an application. I haven’t started it yet and I am planning on doing surveys before and ask around for thoughts on the idea to sketch a plan and start the project next year.

How do I get into STEM summer programs?

I am a high school student (10th year) and I look forward to study either aerospace al engineering or genetics. I live in Argentina were my options are really limited, and I’m looking fowards to study in a university in other country (main options are Melbourne University for genetics and MIT for engineering). Lately I’ve been looking ways that my application can stand out and summer programs can be a good idea but I don’t know how can I get accepted into one that is actually prestigious and free as I can’t afford a 7000 dollar summer program in a Ivy League. My GPA is of 3.8 but I don’t know how can I improve my chances of getting accepted into the programs ,beside a well written essay, if I didn’t participate or win any competitions related to science as in my country they don’t offer them.

Vale la pena estudiar años y post grados en física o biología?

I'm in high school and I've known my whole life that I wanted to do something related to physics or biology. Over time, I thought my best options are either nuclear engineering/quantum engineering or becoming a geneticist. Unfortunately, the people I know who have pursued similar careers ended up being teachers, which is definitely not what I want for my life. Also, I read that the salaries aren't very good either, but I can't imagine following a different career path and being unhappy. I also know that there are few universities that offer the physics programs I like, and they’re hard to get into; my average is 9.3 throughout high school (I'm in my 4th year) and I was hoping to apply for a scholarship. Is the salary as bad as they say? Is there job demand? Cabe aclarar que tengo un nivel de inglés fluido (b2 casi C1) asi que empresas extranjeras también pueden ser una opción

Careless owners

I own a tarantula and my parents bought a terrarium as a gift for me in case I need it or I decided to have another t.they got it at an auction they usually go as they restore and sell vintage furniture and stuff. Afterwards, we found out that the terrarium used to belong to a zoo that closed and inside it we found two little tuppers with holes and dirt. When we open them we found a molt and a dead sling in each one. These poor babies were left to die for so long that they even molted, I feel so bad for them. I was thinking of trying pinning them, as burring or throwing them seems pointless. In the photo you can see one of the tuppers with the molt and the sling.

I hate the fact that these ts were only seen as an attraction instead of a living being and I can’t imagine how bad they were treated and how horrible their death was, people usually see arthropods as less feeling than other beings and it breaks my heart.

Why is my t laying flat?

My t, g pulchripes, is laying flat on the floor of his enclosure without using any leg support. He’s a grown male and I am worried about this behavior because he is usually active at this time of the day and I had never saw him laying flat and I’m worried

Enclosure improvements

This is my tarantula fiodor, he is a grown mature male of g pulchripes and my first tarantula, he has been stressed and I believe it has to do with his enclosure. In this picture he is freaked out because I had just washed his water bowl.

Is my tarantula under stress?

I had my tarantula( G. Pulchripes) for over a month. He’s an adult male and I’ve have noticed that he is moving around all the time and that he has bald spots in his abdomen(he hasn’t them since I got him).He is my first tarantula and I don’t know what is stressing him out. I thought it was that his enclosure didnt had enough substrate so I improve that and it didn’t help much. I have to make short car rides with him every week because my family doesnt like him and I can’t leave him with them. I saw him groom himself, drink water and his abdomen is in normal size, but he hasn’t been eating. He is really calm and never flicks hairs even during the car rides or the time I had to take him out to add substrate but he doesn’t stay still sometimes and he climbs a lot even tho he is terrestrial. Pls help me out.
