its me again. i know its only been like nine days since i’ve been let go but i am having so much trouble securing a job that fits with school. i have an offer for a job thats across town, has horrible hours and pay, and has dozens of horrible glassdoor reviews. i dont know what to do i havent slept more than three hours in days due to anxiety. should i just say eff it and take the job?
Kind of a vent post but I finally got my foot in the door for “office work” with a 15 hour a week receptionist job. It was my first one (I told them as much) and I was really proud of myself for landing it. But during my 3 week training period they let me go because I wasn’t the right fit and that I wasn’t picking up the job at the rate they wanted. I worked there for a total of 27 hours.
Sorry for the mopey preamble. I really want to try again, but maybe I am just not cut out for this type of work? Does anyone have any advice about kind of picking myself up from this? I’ve only ever been laid off before (covid) so this sort of rejection really stings.
