How Soon Is Too Soon To Decide To Leave?

I just recently arrived at my newest workaway. I went through a breakup last week (workaway was already booked) and thought travelling might do me some good so committed to flying out here.

Now I'm here, turns out around 75% of the volunteers are from the host country and are speaking their native language with each other. In my past workaways, people came from all over and it was easier to make friends but here I'm feeling a lot more like an odd one out.

Now I'm feeling a bit isolated and just want to go home and be with friends and family. How many days should I give it before making a decision?

In Retrospect All the Theory Baiting Seems Pretty Dishonest

Watching the series as it came out, it seemed to be this deep, fleshed out horror full of mysteries. Pomni running through the office backrooms in ep1 pulled me in. The IHNMAIMS inspirations pulled me in. The theory baiting around Abel and C&A pulled me in. The show gave us plenty to believe there was a lot going on and it was heading for a bleak existential horror full of unravelling mysteries.

Then ep7 comes and the show makes fun of us for being invested in the small details. At first, it hit hard as there was a wave of "everything you thought you knew is wrong!" and the audience was excited to see what the true answers would be...

...But no, the big reveal never happens. The show insists it was a character drama all along and we were fools for thinking there would be any meaningful lore.

Which leaves the show feeling confused. The tone of the finale was so different from what I was expecting, it did genuinely feel like fanfic at times.

I wouldn't say it was a meaningful subversion of expectations, rather just a show pulling people in with engagement bait and then never paying off everything it set up.
