I have C2R2 Cyno, and I'm considering trying my luck and pulling for Yae next patch, and later get her c1 via the constellation event. But I wanna know if it's gonna be worth it. I already have her signature (for some reason) and that it's getting buffed aswell, but I'm only doing this for Cyno, if she's not that good for him as she is for Sandrone, I'd rather save up for other characters. Can anyone let me know?

I’ve loved Albedo since day one. I got him at C2 back in 1.2, later picked up C3 from the constellation event, and eventually C4 from the most recent Chronicled Wish.

The problem is that, despite how much I like him, I’ve rarely been able to justify using him long-term. I ran him with Xiao for a while until Xiao got stronger teammates, then with Itto until that team gradually became unusable.

When Albedo finally got buffs, I pulled Durin, and for a while it honestly felt amazing. I started using him in on-field Venti teams, with Xiao again, and even with Kinich. The new party buffs felt genuinely impactful, and for the first time in years, Albedo was actually dealing great damage. I even experimented with a "DPS" Albedo with Durin and C6 Gorou, where his flower procs were hitting over 100k. Although I still prefer him as a sub-DPS/support rather than a main carry. At the time, he was running Golden Troupe.

Eventually, though, I got C6 Faruzan, and after a lot of testing, she simply performed better in both Xiao and Venti teams. Then, while optimizing my Kinich team, I realized that if I wanted to keep Albedo there, I basically had to move him onto Deepwood. It worked, but it also felt disappointing because his personal damage dropped off significantly. I don’t have C6 Iansan, and even if I did, I honestly find her too clunky for Kinich. Now with Nicole, I can already see Albedo eventually losing his spot there too, which feels rough because it’s basically the last team where he still feels genuinely good.

For context, whether he’s on Golden Troupe or Deepwood, he sits at over 3000 DEF and uses R5 Cinnabar. I was also really hoping his C4 would let him compete with C6 Faruzan for Xiao teams, but realistically it just doesn’t. And since I don’t really play other plunge characters, I’m back in the situation where it feels like I’m forcing him into teams just because I like him.

So now I’m curious, how are you using Albedo currently? Any strong teams still out there for him?
