Parent trying to being seeds back from Europe.
Hi all!
I have a parent visiting me in Europe, she has a big garden by a national park in NSW that is technically separate from the bush but still very close (no fencing no real separation maybe 100m).
I keep finding seeds she finds interesting in her luggage that she is trying to sneak past me and bring back to plant there.
I have a degree in biology and know how risky for our ecosystems this can be but she doesn't listen to me. She has done this on several other trips and idk how many she has successfully gotten past me since I live in Europe.
I've just looked in her luggage and she has about 8 packets from a random garden center in Germany. I didn't want to pull out all her belongings but I fear she has other loose seeds hidden in there.
I've tried reasoning with her but she doesn't listen to me and just tries to hide them to take back. She's about to go to the UK next without me before she leaves back to Aus and idk how to stop her doing this.
I have looked it up and if she declares them she might be able to keep some since they're in packaging but I know her and know she won't declare them.
What do I do, any advice here?
