Bought a used Polo 1.0 MPI from VW Dealer in Germany. Strange sound while accelerating. Please help.

Hi everyone,

recently bought a used Polo 1.0 MPI 80 HP AW1 from 2020 at an official VW dealer in Germany. When I accelerate, I hear a strange noise that I initially thought was just a normal engine sound. But I'd like to get your thoughts on the engine noise: does it sound normal or is there a problem?

The noise only occurs when I press the gas pedal about 40-50%. If I back off to about 30%, the noise goes away.

You can hear the noise in the video between the 3rd and 4th seconds. It's also audible again between the 6th and 7th seconds.

Any Cheaper/Free Parking spots near Mannheim for approx. 2 week parking.

Hi guys,

I recently bought a car and will be moving to a new city at end of May. Until then, I am unable to figure out the parking situation near by house. I am situated near Rheinhäuser Str. and looked at some available options for parking nearby.

Street parking parking is easily costing more than 100 euros (The parking stations stated max. 8 euros per day). This is even more than the 6 months Bewohnerparkschein. Hence, I am looking for some cheaper options. I came across few previous posts stating that there are free parking spots near Luisenpark, i.e., in Ludwig-Ratzel-Straße.

Are there any similar options anyone knows about, where I could go about parking for 2 weeks? I can keep checking on the spot regularly, in case any temporary no-parking zones show up.

I saw a spot near Walter-Krause-Straße and there seemed to be no parking instructions or signs on this road (Link: https://maps.app.goo.gl/4bQCTU9UGcQkB2hFA). Does anyone have an idea about this place, if the parking for long-term is free?

It would be of great help if anyone could give more info. Thanks
