Smoke free for 21 days!!

I’ve officially been smoke free for three weeks! I am also having cravings on and off here and there that I’m not sure how to cope with sometimes. But I have not smoked! I try to chew on a piece of nicotine gum it helps for a little while. What doesn’t make sense is I keep saying to myself maybe I can have a cigarette and on the other hand I also tell myself remember how discusting it was when I did relapse before and had five horrible cigarettes. 😩 not sure why I feel terrible right now when I should be celebrating my quit. Any support would help right now thanks so much

I am so happy to be smoke free for two weeks🎉🥳no longer will I ever let cigarettes control me! It feels so good to be feeling healthy and most of all to be free!! Day 2 smoke free

I’m on day 2 of being smoke free!! I feel really good right now, but as the days go by I start to feel really depressed, sad, downright angry. It’s as if in my mind I’m fighting this huge monster! The cravings start to hit hard! I’m 38 currently taking 21 mg nicotine patch. I’ve tried to quit and started back up because my emotions became too much, definitely need to work on that! I have bipolar disorder and severe depression along with anxiety. I’m on quite a few medications so my regular doctor can not put me on chantix. I also spoke with my psychiatrist today about trying to put me on bupropion and she completely dismissed the idea she said it doesn’t work and it would make my anxiety worse, she told me to stick with the patch for as long as I needed. I just felt lost like she wasn’t listening to me , I mean I’m already on medication for depression and my bipolar and my anxiety. Does anyone out there ever try bupropion and did it help them? Or any tips to get me through the worst of it would be great!! Any support would be helpful!

Relapse but I’m back!

I was 12 days in smoke free! And should have never done it but yesterday smoked five cigarettes, and let me tell you they were so horrible and disgusting! I even felt horrible afterwards. I woke up this morning and put on a nicotine patch! I have quit and smoked again on and off for so long I know, I just know I’m so ready for good to get away from these horrible cancer sticks which I’ve been struggling with for years now. Even though I’m back at day 1 I feel really confident that I can do this this time around! There’s no turning back I’m done! The crazy part about all this is I was feeling really good health wise it was my mind and emotions that got the best of me!

Day 11 of quitting smoking

I’m currently on day 11 of my quit smoking journey! I’d like to share that health wise I’m doing better and I feel better! On the other hand I do have bi-polar and struggle with depression really bad, my emotions have been all over the place. I’m crying one minute then angry the next. It’s almost like I’m fighting a war with cigarettes still even though I’m not smoking, if you know what I mean. Cravings have become so overwhelming. Has anyone with mental issues had any of these things going on as well, I’m just looking for some help. I am currently using 21 mg nicotine patches , I’ve quit so many times I can even count. Struggling a lot here in need of some support. I used to smoke a pack a day I’m 38 years old.

Day 5 of quitting smoking

I’ve reached day 5 of quitting smoking and feel incredibly exhausted all day long! Is this normal to feel this way? I’m currently using 21mg nicotine patches to get through and make this quit stick! I’ve tried to quit so many times before, this one is going to be my last quit! Any tips on how to feel more energized? Or is this just a normal feeling? I don’t remember if I ever felt this sluggish all day the last time I quit.
