Public Works Fail at the City

Today’s closure of S. 3rd St., West is an absolute nightmare. The public works department did such a horrible job of planning this out. There are no police involved in helping with these detours. The detour signs are nonexistent. That strip of street should’ve been done in sections. What an absolute shit show. This whole week around town has been horrible. Next time break it up into workable sections and consider the public next time.

The Village Senior Living

My mom is nearing a time when she can’t live on her own. We toured and gave deposits to The Springs ($500) and The Village ($2750). I’m convinced the Springs seems like a good place (please inform me if otherwise) but for some reason I don’t get a good feeling about The Village. Maybe it’s just the guy, Mark, who is the marketing director who I have not heard a peep from since last year about an opening. Staff seemed nice. Facility seems to need updates. We were told Goodman Group who owns it is building a new complex south of town by Buckhouse (no clue if true). Can anyone speak to the positive or negatives of this place? Not the Skilled Nursing Home or Memory Care but Senior Living. Thanks.
