I’m trying to get out of the habit of using my car just to get my dog to the river on hot days. Looking for something within 30 mins walk of my apt.
The spot off 12, across from Walmart is filled with garbage and tents and dirty needles. Don’t feel like it’s an option anymore :(
I can't believe people that live in this city are using the public amenities 😡 it makes me so mad to see people enjoying themselves on a sunny day. Plus, all scraggly looking people are PERVERTS

Does anyone in town do small auto body repairs on the side/as a smaller business? The larger shops are just insane with what they’ll quote you, I have a small scratch I want fixed. I know it’s expensive to repair regardless but I also know sometimes there’s folks out there doing jobs for less money with less overhead and if I can support a smaller business that would make me happy.

we’re four guys, and we’ve put together Westminster’s restaurant scene in an app called Vota. The concept is simple: you see two places side by side (for example Famille vs. Kachina Southwestern Grill), you choose the place you’d rather go to, and the ranking updates instantly. The more people vote, the more accurate the list gets over time. There are still a few duplicates here and there, but I’m continuously cleaning up the data.

My dog, Roy escaped my parents’ yard in the university dist. He is very scared of fireworks, last seen on Kim Williams. Super skiddish with all these explosions!!! Please reach out if you see or hear anything
There is a house on my block that has been sitting empty for over a year owned by a family from Texas. The grass was almost three feet tall for over a year until they came this week. It use to be a rental for 20 years previously but last year they kicked the long term renter out. It now appears they are setting it up to be another AirBNB. This family owns at least two other houses on the block. One that their daughter lives in and another that is already and AirBNB. This will make the fourth AirBNB just on this block. This is exactly what is wrong with the market in Missoula. That we allow out of state residents to do this is shameful when we have a housing crisis.
If anyone has any information on how to help the family or where donations can be dropped off please put up a post. This was devastating to see in our neighborhood.

Update: 3:24pm: Traffic is flowing in all directions, traffic lights are still out but police are now directing traffic.

Northbound traffic is blocked and traffic lights are out as a result of DIY Ricky Bobby who managed to flip their car and crash into the corner near the liquor store.
MPD requests no phone calls as efforts are underway to restore traffic, lights etc.
That being said, sincerely hope everyone is okay 🙏
I know it's hard with it being a holiday weekend and all. But do you think you can keep your dogs from barking for just one morning tomorrow? I'm gonna be up late shooting off fireworks and I'd kinda like to sleep in.
