I'm joining for bsc microbiology.. when will semester start.. I've no idea.. and the councellor is also not responding properly.. does anyone have any idea?

I'm joining college in few days and my parents are pressurising me to join hostel.. it's not that I hate it (lowkey do hate it btw) but I have lived in pg for 1 year.. so I think hostel is not the best choice for me.. how should I convince them..
