Baby Hosh’s first yusho
Hoshoryu’s first official Grand Sumo tournament was March 2018 st the Osaka Basho.He gained 6 wins before being defeated by his high school rival Naya (now Oho), who went on to take the yusho.
Subsequently, in the May 2018 Natsu basho in Tokyo, in his birthday month, 18 year old Hoshoryu took the Jonidan Yusho with a perfect 7-0 record.
