Fighting the Heat
What are ya'll doing for your birds to help them through this heat? I've had chickens several times throughout the years, I have some now, and we always scraped by with the heat waves. Now I have some turkeys, every time I've tried owning turkeys something has gone wrong with them and they've died. I have three 9w old turkeys and one is showing signs if being overly hot. It found it last night getting them into the coop. Puffed up, wings down, resisting food. Today we started with a dip in some water and I notice it has a little bit of an appetite now. I'm going to set up a misting system today as well for all the birds.
Do you have any go-to things for when your turkeys are overheated? I could use any and all ideas!
