What is there to do at Watkins Glen when I can’t hike?

My husband andI along with my son and daughter-in-law will be at Watkin’s Glen later this month. The plan was hiking. However, my knee is jacked up. Ok. I’ll take my poles. Now I’ve broken a couple of fingers. Son and his wife can go hiking. So best way to spend an afternoon for hubby and me? Wine tastings? Best ones? Bonus question- where to stay? Send me your best suggestions! TIA

Advice for very prey oriented dog. I am thinking of getting an e collar.

I had a very scary incident with my gsd, Nellie, recently. We were camping and she had on her harness and was tied up. My husband took one of the other dogs for a short walk. In a flash Nellie wriggled out of the set up and was off running to catch them. Unfortunately a guy came jogging by. She ran up on him and circled him while barking. Scared the poor guy. I caught her and geared her back up. She is good about listening to me except when she is focused on “prey”. She has never bit anyone. There have been a couple of times she has run at someone. I have her harness pretty snug but it doesn’t slow her down. I am thinking of getting an e collar to help training her to not charge at people and to stay in her harness. Has anyone had experience with this?
