Vantage M3 has been a mess so far: bad luck or just flaky?

Context:

I was a pretty happy Polar Vantage M2 user since 2022 until one button broke and made the watch unusable. Figured I’d upgrade to the M3, paid €280, and honestly so far I’m kind of regretting it.

First and second night: no sleep tracking at all. Nothing in Flow. HR tracking is on, sleep time is set, watch fits fine, all that stuff is correct. Still nothing.

Also had Bluetooth drop my Google Pixel 9 connection twice. It was syncing fine, then just stopped like a switch got flipped.

Battery life also feels pretty meh compared to what I expected.

I’ve already done the usual stuff:

re-paired through the Polar Flow app.

restarted phone and watch.

checked permissions on the Pixel.

tried resyncing.

checked the sleep settings and strap fit.

At this point I’m wondering if I just got a bad unit, or if the M3 is actually this flaky for other people too.

Anyone else seeing this kind of nonsense?

I'm not using, nor want to use, any of the smart functions. Just multiple sports tracking (bike, run, row, fitness, swim, kayak) and good sleep tracking and an actual time on my wrist
