Elriel and tea 💜 “Elain sat silently at one of the wrought-iron tables, a cup of tea before her. Azriel was sprawled on the chaise longue across the gray stones, sunning his wings and reading what looked to be a stack of reports.”

It’s World Bee Day. One of the songs that you all voted represent Elriel was Honeybee by The Head and the Heart. It is also by some sources Flower Day although there is also a different national flower day. What a lovely day to celebrate Elriel. If she was a flower, he would be a bee. 🐝

Edit: The title was a mistake. The parallel is between Vassien and Feysand although Nessian is involved.

Context: Vassa just brought up Briallyn and Cassian is working himself into a violent protective rage.
"Easy," Lucien said.
Cassian snarked
"Easy," Lucien repeated, and flame sizzled in his russet eye.
The flame, the surprising dominance within it, hit Cassian like a stone to the head, knocking him from his need to kill and kill and kill whatever might threaten—“

Context: Feyre is pregnant and any danger to the court is a danger to her and the baby.

Azriel snarled softly. 
“Snarl all you want.” Rhys leaned back in his chair. “But if I see you panting after her again, I’ll make you regret it.”  
Rhys had rarely threatened punishment or pulled rank. It stunned Azriel enough that it knocked him from his rage.”

In these scenes, we see Rhysand and Lucien both use an unusual show of dominance that snaps a male out of his rage. Similar wording is used in both instances. Rhysand was likely doing this to protect Feyre. Any danger to the court would put her and their baby in danger. Likewise, Lucien was likely protecting Vassien. She was a human in front of a raging fae male that said the very thing that set him off. Both acted out of their usual character, showing dominance, to protect a female they care about.

It is notable how similarly these two are worded. They are both given an order and snarl in response. They’re both then knocked from a rage due to an unexpected show of dominance.
