Calling all incoming/current seniors: let’s talk photos!

Hey seniors (and parents)! I’m starting to plan out senior photos and would love some advice. When is the best time to take them—the summer before senior year, or during the school year?

Also, how did you find your photographer and locations? Appreciate any recommendations!

Calling all upcoming seniors! Let’s talk summer and scholarships

As a current junior, I can’t help but feel behind. I have so many questions that are left unanswered since neither of my parents went through the college or senior year process themselves. I’m trying to get ahead on what needs to be done, but from what I already know, it seems like not a lot can actually be completed until late summer.

I’m also looking into different scholarships I can start applying for, but I’m struggling to find reliable ones with open applications. I feel completely blindsided because I don’t really know what’s legitimate and what’s fake. Does anyone have advice, resources, or websites they recommend?

17th Birthday

I’m turning 17 this summer, and I really want to plan something at my house for my friends and me to celebrate. I haven’t hosted a birthday party at my house in several years, so I want to make it really fun and special. Since we’re going into our senior year, I thought it would be fun to do some senior-themed activities, one of them being making senior scrapbooks.

I want some type of keepsake from the party, but if I invite around 10 people, I’m worried about the cost of buying 10 scrapbooks plus all the decorating supplies.

Would it be a bad idea to ask everyone to bring their own scrapbook so they can pick one they actually like, while I provide all the supplies and decorations? Or would that come across as bad hosting?
