while i understand the definition of slavery, though being a draft enlist does not strip you of all of your rights, or payment, i do believe if i was drafted into:

  1. a system i helped set up (taxation)

  2. leaving my job/family

  3. into a cause i don’t support

  4. even if it was non combat, cleaning the wounds of those who harmed others

i would feel i was a slave.

i’m also anti war anti military globally so not sure if my bias is showing there too. i would really enjoy hearing counter arguments. also no i dont think jury duty is slavery by that logic as the imposition on your livelihood isn’t there so much
