How long does it take to recognise a song?

I watched two concerts on BM Prime today. One of the Online Okyujis and the pre Just Bring It release. Both great shows, so full of energy. But, what I wonder is, how long does it take for fans from various places to realise what track is being played? It must be almost immediately for Japanese fans. I realised that it took me such a long time to realise. Not because I didn't know the track. I knew each, intimately, and knew every note that was coming. But not the name of the track. For instance, I didn't realise the Maids were playing Secret My Lips until they reached the jazz break. Also, Alone. I must've listened hundreds of times but I was half way through before I realised which track it was. I suppose it is because of the language. With other bands, I can identify a song quickly after hearing the words. Maybe it adds to the excitement!?! Still, however long it takes, it is always a pleasure. 🙏

Prog Maid

Just wondering. A few years ago I had a 'Prog Maid' playlist with 9 or 10 tracks. Somehow I lost or accidentally deleted it. Now, I can only remember that YOLO, Giovanni and Forbidden Tale were on it. Any suggestions about what the others might have been?

Washington State

I know several Band Maid fans and regular contributers to this community are from this area that is being devastated by wildfires. At the moment, 600+ homes have been destroyed. I just want to wish all those affected, and especially those who are members of this community, well. I'm sure all of us Band Maid fans will wish them the best and hope everyone stays safe and well. Stay strong. 🙏

The Maids Rock

I had free time today. The weather was good. I sat in the garden, with my new ear pods positioned and thought ' what should I listen to' while having a beer or two. Instead of listening to a full album, I listened to a playlist I made. B-M 45. A totally random playlist covering all eras of their work. It was just so fantastic! Everything ...tracks from MIJ to Scooooop! And everyone, every track, sounded so good! There are few bands I can keep listening to over the years but...the Maids? Any day, any hour, any era...love it! A once on a generation band. 😊😂

Another Maid Guitars Question

I recently watched a short video on YT showing many legendary guitarists from the 60s Woodstock Festival playing. Great guitarists but, what struck me, was what guitars they were playing. Instead of a sea of Fender Strats, which only Jimi was playing, almost all the others were using Gibsons. Not Les Pauls, but SGs and what looked like the hollow/semi hollow body ES 300 series. They seemed perfect for the psychedelic, bluesy rock being played and, I assume, other genres. So, I wondered what happened to that type of guitar? None of the artists I follow seem to use them. So I thought, well B-M occasionally veer into that territory when Mincho breaks free so why don't they ever use them? But then I almost just fell off my chair while watching Cluppo's Peace and Love MV today. Miku mainly uses her Zemaitis Pearl but I saw that she also uses a mustard coloured hollow/semi hollow guitar! By the look of the headstock, a Zemaitis. So, what I'm wondering is, if a guitar is versatile enough for, both, blues rock and Hippie Popo, why don't Kanami and Miku use them (more)? Why aren't they seen more often in general? Or are they still commonly used by artists or in genres I don't follow? I recall asking a similar question, on this forum, in the past, wondering why Miku and Kanami didn't use 12 strings in acoustic shows. The response was that they spend half a concert out of tune, half being tuned up, and can be simply be replaced by pedal board effects now. Maybe the same is true of this type of guitar? Interested to hear if anyone has any thoughts.
