Can I go over my limit on a student card?

I’m at risk of being evicted and my new landlord wants a credit card payment specifically but I don’t have a card with a high enough limit to pay by credit card. Is it possible to go over your limit? My thought process is to use my credit card and immediately make a payment on it from my debit card to get it back under the limit if I can go over. I don’t know what to do and nobody in my family has even had a credit card.

UPDATE: thank you to everyone who replied to help me out. after talking with my landlord’s supervisor I was told that he’s also new to the business as a whole and mixed up credit card and cashier’s check when talking so all is resolved. I was also able to get a credit line increase after asking still. Thank you!

Pls I’m terrified of physics. I’m a bio major only seeing horror stories about these classes. Can someone share their successes in either py205 or py211? If you made an A or a B what study habits would you say worked for you?

Has anyone take both PY205, 208 over the summer with Zachary Lewis? Specifically the online section. I’m really good with online courses over in person but the in person courses have a slightly higher number of As. Does anyone know the main differences between formats? What can I expect this summer?
