WEVI EV Community-Destination Charging Request for Information & EV Charger Survey Released by WI DOT
I just received the below email from the Wisconsin DOT. It has two components:
- A request for information from "eligible respondents" (there's a full list in the doc, but it's basically people with expertise or organizational interest in public EV charging).
- A link to a survey for all EV drivers in the state. This is the important part for most of us. If you drive an EV here, fill it out to help them get good data!
- Survey link: here.
The full text of the email (minus a bit at the bottom about a stakeholder meetings).
> The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is pleased to announce the release of a Request for Information (RFI) and an Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Survey.
>
> The RFI and the Electric Vehicle Charger Survey are designed to explore the opportunities and challenges related to community and destination EV charging and EV owner charging experience in Wisconsin.
>
> Through the RFI, WisDOT is seeking information regarding:
>
> 1. The key opportunities and barriers around the deployment of charging infrastructure for urban, rural, and tourist destinations in Wisconsin;
> 2. Best practices for successful implementation of community and destination charging projects; and
> 3. Potential partnerships, funding allocations, and other resources that will enable communities to invest in adequate charging infrastructure.
>
> WisDOT welcomes responses from the EV industry and community stakeholders, such as charging network operators, utilities, equipment and software providers, retailers, and real estate owners. WisDOT is also interested in hearing from government entities, including county and local governments, planning agencies, Tribal and community organizations, and others.
>
> You can access the RFI here: WisDOT RFI. Interested parties are encouraged to submit email responses to DOTWEVIProjectDevelopment@dot.wi.gov.
>
> The Electric Vehicle Charging Survey seeks to understand EV owners' charging habits better and gather insights into their use of public EV charging. Participation is open to all EV owners or to anyone who has driven an EV.
Please take a moment to complete the survey - it will take less than 3 minutes.

Anyone else having this issue? I’ve been trying to add photos to the chargers from a trip a couple weeks ago and they’ve all been failing for weeks. Any suggestions? I’m on iOS, if that matters.
I found this to be an interesting background to the more recent request from retired justices for specific recusal rules for the Wisconsin Supreme Court.
TL;DR: this happened back in 2017 when 54 (!) current and former Supreme Court, Court of Appeals and Circuit Court judges signed a petition to create recusal rules but the conservative justices then in control of the Wisconsin court did not respond to the 2017 petition.
