Feel like I'm most excited about getting 4 new intruders in Retaliation

And also new characters. Although I feel like AR will half-ass the rules to make them playable in Retaliation. They have a habit of putting all their effort in their core games and everything else the rulebooks are extremely messy.

Rein counters D.Mon, what's with everyone saying he's dead now?

Fire strike goes through her shield. He can trade pretty easily with her up close. Might be hard with her mobility but pinning is also an effective option. What does she have over him except a little bit more mobility and a gun ability that he can easily shield? I really don't get what people are freaking out about.

As a long term fan of the series, I liked Evil Dead Burn way more than Rise

This may not be the popular opinion on here, and maybe my expectations were way higher back then, but I enjoyed Burn way more than Rise. When I think about what I love from an Evil Dead movie (that's not Bruce Campbell) it's creative filmmaking, fun set pieces and brutality. Burn delivered on all three.

The sequences used the environments to it's fullest with kinetic editing and movement. I will give a tiny little spoiler and say the scene that used a one-shot to track a character's movement was way more creative and cool then anything I saw in Rise. And that was only one part out of several. I even remember Rise having faker CGI blood in it which made it less impactful when seeing it in theatres. The gore parts in this actually felt painful with the audience I was watching with giving audible gasps.

So if you weren't a big fan of the last one, give Burn a chance.

80% of the movies I watch the mom of the main character is dead in it

Seriously I'm so tired of this character trait. It never really clicked for me until I started dating my now partner whose mom died young and is very sensitive to hearing about it. This is when I became cognizant of how common it is when we watch movies together. Seriously, pay attention when watching a film and notice how often a character's mom is dead. It's extremely overused and boring that writers can't come up with a more interesting history for main characters.
