hi hi! I crocheted this giant banana pillow as a gift for my friend. I want to add detail, so I thought about adding freckles to it. however I don’t have a clue how to do it.

I tried to just randomly sew with the brown yarn, but it wasn’t very effective(?). I also tried to sl st, but the banana is made of tr stitches and it looks, idk, not very good.

any suggestions??
