Advice to newer chiropractors...

When seeing disparaging stuff online it is best to leave it be. Here is a video (much out of context and too short to determine anything) that people jump all over down voting, telling anecdotal stories of their friend's cousin's, brother's neighbor that was killed by a chiropractic adjustment. Leave that stuff alone, don't respond to it except in an educational aspect to a single person asking you. One of the best ones for a logical arguement is the amount we pay for malpractice insurance, insurance is based on risk. We pay very little comparatively... (even lower than many PT policies)

Once you pop up on one of these reels in the comments and try to defend chiropractic you will be hounded and probably banned from one group or another. Pick your battles. Chiropractic is indeed safe, it works, it is valuable. Yes, like ANY profession there are goofballs.

Do your work, do your best to help others, let the rest go.

Four days post op, feeling pretty good.

Had mitral valve replaced turns out I had Barlow valve, cords intact. Also had a bleed post ops do had to go tight back in, THEN. A fib yesterday... Now out of ICU and in PCU (progressive care unit) and up and moving a bit, using toilet (yay) and just sore in chest. This subreddit has been my lighthouse of hope and sure helped. Thank you all so much. It does suck but does get better! 61m, mitral valve, w/HF and PVCs. (On loads of meds still so hoping those also improve

Scheduled! (ready or repair/replace)

I am scheduled for valve (OHS) this June. Will be following tips and hints from 'y'all' so THANK YOU.

Any other hints would be great.

I have had the prolapse as long as I can rememeber... Now causign HF with cardiomegaly, EF down to about 35 or so. (or "up to", since with rehab and work, it went from 19 last year to 35-40...)

Having Open Heart Surgery and going back to work (as a Chiropractor)

Anyone have experience with this? Once I am cleared to drive... (about 5 weeks) I am planning to get back to the office...

I do acupuncture as well, so will start in with that first, then probably blocking patients (SOT) and using Activator... Then work my way back to drop table, by my calculations, I should be back doing most adjustments by month 3.

It is going to hurt financially, and schedule wise, but I have a good supportive clientelle and they understand and will )(hopefully) return with gusto once I am at it again.

Any advice would be great.

Using text (sms) in your marketing.

I have been trying to find a useful way of doing this from my office list of patients. I have confirmations from my scheduling software that texts patients a reminder, but would like to market to 'non-active' or folks I have not seen in a while. Do any of you do this type of marketing? I am a super small office, just me. I see less than 20 a week (part time) but would like to increase... Thanks... ( also I am a bit behind with some tech, I have been in business like 30 years. )
