Has anyone in Dubai spoken to FAB about leverage for the new RBI FCNR scheme?
I came across this article about the new RBI FCNR(B) deposit programme and the financing being offered through FAB:
On paper it sounds very interesting, but I'm trying to separate the marketing from the reality. I knew about the RBI FCNR (B) programme but getting leverage through FAB is new to me (but very interesting).
Has anyone in Dubai actually gone through this process with FAB yet? If so, I'd be interested to know your thoughts - do they actually give you 9x leverage?
I'm not looking for investment advice - just hoping to hear from anyone with first-hand experience or who has spoken to FAB about it.
Thanks!
[FOR SALE] Profitable AI-First SEO & Digital Agency | $1.2M Revenue | $593K SDE | UAE-incorporated, Fully Remote
Hey all,
After two years of building, I'm exploring a sale of my AI-first SEO and digital agency. Listing it here in case the right buyer is in this community.
The business at a glance:
- UAE-incorporated, founded April 2024
- US, UK and Australian clients only
- Fully remote — team across UAE, India, US and Nigeria
- $1.2M TTM revenue
- $593K TTM SDE
- ~50% EBITDA margin
- 65% blended gross margin
- Zero debt, bootstrapped from day one
What it does:
Premium SEO and digital agency serving B2B mid-market and venture-backed businesses across the US, UK and Australia. Core service is a full-stack SEO retainer covering strategy, technical SEO, content, link building, web design, web development and attribution tracking — all under one roof. Three expansion services (web dev, web design, marketing ops) drive ~55% of TTM revenue through cross-sell into the existing retainer base.
Client base:
- 7 active retainer clients, all on auto-renewing contracts
- Includes a US-based $30B fintech and a Y Combinator-backed scale-up
- 89% of TTM revenue from clients already on the books a year ago
- $44.7K MRR, up 175% QoQ from the Q4 2025 dip
The interesting part — AI-first by design:
The reason the margin profile works at this scale. Proprietary tooling built in-house over two years:
- AI content writing agent
- LLM Visibility Tracker
- Automated proposal generator
- Custom client dashboard
- Chrome extension SEO checker
- In-house HR tool, Slack integration hub
Full codebase is on GitHub and editable by an AI coding agent — no developer needed in-house.
Team & founder involvement:
- 9-person ongoing team — tier-one global offshore plus US-based client success lead
- Total ongoing team cost: ~$12,400/month
- Founder currently ~60 min/day on the business in an observer role
Growth levers untouched:
- Total marketing spend across TTM was $3,200 (under 1% of revenue, vs 5–15% industry norm)
- No price increases on any client since launch
- 500-person email list unmonetised
- No organic content or brand-building investment
Why selling:
I specialise in taking businesses from zero to one. The business is at that point now — built, profitable, self-managing, ready to scale. I've got other ventures I want to take through the same journey. Not selling because of stress, decline or problems — selling because the next chapter is growth and that's not where my interest sits.
Asking:
$1.5M (approx. 2.5x TTM SDE — deliberately priced to attract serious operators)
Process:
Happy to share the full CIM, financials and Q&A under NDA. DM me if interested.
Hey Reddit,
I'm running a digital marketing agency based in Dubai, selling services to US clients, and I'm looking to bring on a few sharp salespeople to join the team.
What the role actually looks like right now:
- Hunting and prospecting — cold calling, cold emailing, LinkedIn and social outreach
- Being creative with how you get in front of US business owners (the obvious channels are crowded)
- Booking qualified appointments for our closer
- Running first calls on inbound leads we receive and qualifying them properly
- Progression: once you've proven yourself, you'll move into closing deals yourself with full commission upside
Who I want to hear from:
- Based in Dubai (non-negotiable — we meet up regularly)
- Actual experience selling digital marketing (please don't apply if you've only sold something unrelated)
- Hungry, self-driven, doesn't need babysitting
- Comfortable on calls with US business owners and decision-makers
- Can run a creative outbound campaign, not just dial the same script
What you get:
- Base salary + strong commission/bonus structure
- Clear path from setting appointments → closing deals → bigger commissions
- Work-from-home flexibility
- Team meetups at nice hotels and coffee spots around Dubai
- A real shot to grow with a lean, fast-moving team
If you're motivated and you've actually done this before, drop me a DM with a quick intro — what you've sold, your numbers, and why you want in.

Hi all,
I'm a serious cash buyer looking to purchase a 1 or 2 bedroom apartment in Dubai Creek Harbour (Creek Beach specifically). No other areas — I know exactly where I want to be.
My situation:
- 100% cash buyer, funds ready in UAE bank account
- No mortgage, no financing contingencies, no chain
- Can complete the transaction within 14 days
- Have already been through the buying process before, so familiar with DLD, NOC, and transfer logistics
What I'm looking for:
- 1 or 2 bedroom apartment
- Dubai Creek Harbour
- Open to ready/handed-over units
- Open to off-plan if significantly below market
- Furnished or unfurnished both fine
- Lower floors and non construction / road views preferred
Especially interested in:
- Distressed sales
- Off-market deals not listed on portals
- Motivated sellers willing to accept below current asking prices in exchange for speed and certainty
- Owners who need to close quickly and would trade price for a guaranteed cash transaction
Budget: Flexible based on the deal, but actively looking for opportunities below current market comps. The whole point is finding a deal, so list price = not interested.
If you're a seller in this position, or you're an agent with a genuinely motivated seller (not just a regular listing rebadged as "distressed"), please DM me with details: tower, size, asking price, and reason for sale.
Thanks
